Electric blanket pre set timer?

I have an electric blanket (double with dual controls) that I set to come on at 9pm every night and go off at 11. I want to replace it with a similar one that has that same function but I can't see it offered in any of the adverts. They all have Timers but as the say 1hr/3 hr/5 hrs etc I presume that after they are tuned on manually, they turn off automatically. after those times. Can any suggest a manufacturer who still does this or am I not searching with the correct term to fnd one that I can set to come on and that I don't have to remember to do that  every evening ? Thanks

You could plug it into a timer switch that is plugged into a socket and set the on and off schedule.

Yes a timer switch as Devongardener suggested or a smart plug would be good too so just set it off an app so if you're away from home you can stop it coming on.

I have mine on a Tapo smart plug - I put it to come on, but not off, so I just switch it off manually using the Tapo app as I get into bed.  If I'm away, I simply switch it to off instead of scheduled and unplug the Tapo anyway.

As @kimwp said, ensure it's the right sort of physical switch - I have a dehumidifier that won't come on using a timer or smart plug as it's a membrane type switch that you have to press.  If you have it on and running and unplug it, it has to be switched on again after you re-plug it in.

Thanks everyone. A simple solution that I had not thought about. 🙂

If you are using a Tapo (other smart plus are available) make sure it is able to carry the load of the electric blanket.

Even a king size electric blanket isn't going to pull more than about 300W max and the cheapest Chinese knock off timer should be able to handle that.

My small electric blanket is 60 Watts - I've other higher drain devices on my Tapos, never occurred to me to consider load for the blanket, as there barely is any.
