I need to buy a very expensive sink

I need to buy a very expensive sink £700 ish…. Is there anything I can do to get at least something in return for it - I use top cashback but the website I will be buying it from isn’t on there. Could I get a new credit card specifically for that expenditure - I have good credit and would pay off in full and then probably ditch it after that.
It’s such a lot of money I’d rather get something extra if I can.

Why do you "need" to buy a very expensive sink, rather than "want" to buy one? Especially given the name of this site?
Will a cheap sink not work properly?0 -

Why do you need to buy a very expensive sink? It sounds like this is a sink you can't really afford...0 -
It’s to do with making it fit in to an existing kitchen without having to redo the worktops and plumbing etc which would end up costing more. I can afford it now from savings, without a credit card, but paying on a credit card obviously protects me. I just wanted to see if anyone knew of a way to get something back either points or cashback or something to make the purchase more worthwhile for me.0

More than anything else it depends who you are buying from, and whether they are asking retail price for it. If it's standard product (as opposed to custom-built) then you can look at other local kitchen places to see if they are discounting (for example ex-showroom stock) - or you can go in and ask if they will do a deal. But the general rule is that if it's an "aspirational" brand, it may never be discounted.0

Buying it on a debit card also protects you.Sockzyp said:It’s to do with making it fit in to an existing kitchen without having to redo the worktops and plumbing etc which would end up costing more. At best you could take out an AMEX Everyday Credit Card which would give you 5% back but AMEX can be quite picky (I'm guessing you have no other credit cards hence the question) so you may not get it and it'd be £35 that you'd get back in a year. Is it really worth it?0
