Earning extra money with Outlier AI: has anyone else tried it?

Hello,
I recently signed up to a website called Outlier AI as I am looking to earn some extra money working from home around my main job and I was wondering if any other MSE Forumite had/has any experiences with them?
They're a US-based company where you are a freelancer and get "missions" (or projects) to help train an AI system and they pay in US dollars, so they issue a 1099 form.
I was also wondering if anyone can help me find information on how that would affect my UK taxes - I know I'll have to be registered for self-assessment (SA) and file every year to list my PAYE and self-assessment returns, but I'm sure I'm still registered for SA.
