Hi sorry this is long. Would really appreciate some advice.
We need to get a personal loan for a new boiler by yesterday really. I don't know who to apply too as we only have 2 years clear credit history. Arrears on.mortgage from financial difficulty during covid . Recapitalised and set to normal Sept 2023.
No existing personal loans or credit cards.
Long time at address. Secure jobs.

I did the eligibility checker for me and as result  of 90 % chance applied to M and S but haven't gone further with it.i chickened out.
I did apply to a credit union and been rejected .
I dont know why I was rejected . I might phone them. I only earn £17k
I did the EC for my husband on here and he is getting 100% from quite a few
But I don't want to apply if it is our credit history thst is causing rejection.
I need to find a lender who won't reject on that . I believe I shouldn't apply to too many.
Our total income now back up to   £77k Mortgage £1230 per mth.
We can easily afford repayment now.
Before anyone asks about savings we lost all our savings during Covid redundancy. Both our cars died, had to buy replacements with cash and then one was written off by another driver and car prices were going through roof.
Council tax arrears, huge vet and car bills, utility arrears were all bring paid up. None recorded on credit file We are completely clear now and can start to save.
But need a boiler now
So any advice would be appreciated
Do I need to go with one of these poor credit lenders? Who? Or would someone more mainstream be an option ?
I do find it stressful after the nightmare we had.
Thank you
