Just to say a HUGE thanks for the advice on this thread. I did contact HMRC and they changed my tax code to give most of it to my AJ Bell SIPP. I have just made the request to take money from the drawdown account and they confirmed it won't be taxed. I would not have known I could do that without this help. I am so grateful!1
