Morning All
Cold and wet this morning, may not be the best day for a walk but it may clear up.
Just cleaned the downstairs bathroom and will do the upstairs one when I go for a shower in a bit. The plants all need watering so must get that done too.
Hope you're feeling better this morning Gers.
Hugs to those not feeling well or looking after poorly folk.
Did you and your DM enjoy the afternoon tea Ruby? Hope so.
Nothing planned for today apart from sorting some clothes, there are still some summer dresses on a chair in my bedroom so will get those put away and find something more suited to the weather, I've just been living in PJ bottoms for the past few weeks!
Take care and have a peaceful Sunday. XX12 -
Morning folks and thanks GERS. I hope you had a more comfortable night.
Much milder here too thank goodness. Yesterday it was a false alarm and I felt chilly most of the day, despite the heating on. We didn't get the promised rain so, as compensation, we are promised heavy stuff today. As yet no sign of it arriving, maybe they will be wrong?!
I'm off out late morning so lunch will be postponed until I get back. I'll leave a gammon joint cooking and have some with cauliflower cheese as they are made for each other. It's youngest DGD's annual gymnastics competition. She got the Gold medal last year so we'll see what today brings. She showed me a little video of her floor exercise and she looked really good. I don't know who she gets this agility from, certainly not me or her mum.
I have a lights wash on the go but that will certainly be going on the airer upstairs with dehumidifier doing it's thing.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad or lonely, or getting better. Take care all, be safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"12 -
Morning all.
Raining again here. Yesterday I went out in a warm coat but without a hood and I soon regretted it.
Today I should get started on writing the Christmas cards as I'm seeing a group of friends tomorrow. I might make a cake before watching the rugby this afternoon and dinner will be beef short ribs, done in the slow cooker.
I do hope you're recovering Gers; I can well remember the urgency of a UTI.
Look after yourselves everyone and stay warm and dry.12 -
Good morning, thanks for the start Gers, hopw you're feeling better.
Feeling milder today, although its been raining overnight. Just the usual chores to do today, I'll probably give the paintwork a wash down (its ongoing), while OH is watching the F1.
Lamb leg steaks for dinner, with the usual roasties and veg. I've got some stale bread so will turn it into a bread pudding while the ovens on.
Have a good day all, take care.13 -
Morning all and thanks for the start @Gers. I hope you’re doing okay and the meds are working.Wet here this morning. I have the food shop to do then we are making a start painting the hallway, stairwell and landing - just white for now to freshen it up and cover the hideous mint green. Not sure what’s for dinner later but definitely not a roast as won’t have time!!
Good luck to DGD @TravellingAbuela for her competition later x
Hugs to all the poorlies

Made it downstairs. My night wasn't too comfortable though not as disturbed as Friday to Saturday was. The response to ABs hasn't been as swift as I'd have liked. However...After my tentative and very short shopping trip yesterday I'll be mostly staying put today. Cutting things fine aren't how I want to live.I enjoyed most of the dances on SCD last night, love the Blackpool thing. One usually strong dancer really disappointed though the internet has it that it was down to an injury. Thank goodness for no dance off this week.Good luck to your DGD @TA, fingers are crossed for her. Hope the afternoon tea was a success @Ruby. Now, are you doing too much too soon @Camelot? How's your OH @Taff?Keep warm - hugs to all.11

Morning all
Raining here but not as cold as it has been.
The afternoon tea was delicious yesterday, mum loved it but it took a good 10 minutes after we sat down for her to realise that my cousin and her husband were there, her eyes are not good and the place was quite dimly lit, when she did realise she had a little cry, the tea was lovely with finger sandwiches a smoked salmon and crème fraiche scones, scones with cream and jam, chocolate brownie, lemon drizzle and little chewy meringues with fresh cream and lashings of tea, it was enjoyed by all and we bought some cakes home. They also sat us in front of a roaring log fire which was so cosy.
Dinner today will be roast pork and all the trimmings, I will get it prepped this morning and then sit and wrap the Christmas presents.I need to take some washing up to mums and pick up the load from yesterday, I offered her some money for the electric etc but she wouldn’t take it bless her.
TA enjoy the show xx
Gers hope you are feeling better xx
Camelot hope you are recovering well xx
Have good days all and take care xx12 -
Morning all! I actually did nothing yesterday apart from a spot of worrying on and off. well, I know he's boarded the plane and is on the way back otherwise I'd have heard by now. He hasn't gone to see anyone in the meantime because where he was didn't have facilities, then they were travelling to get to an airport for an internal flight, then straight onto the next flight home, he also said he didn't want to get stranded there or pay out and have to get it back from the insurance people. Who am I to tell him hes being stupid? :::grumble grumble, sigh sigh::: It does not look good in photographs is all I'm going to say...We'll see tomorrow because I think a trip to urgent care is on the cards. Thank you all for asking after him too...I did make some kind of giant muffin things yesterday to go with my sheet pan kebabs [ my new obsession] and they were really nice, I may make some and freeze them if there's ever room in the freezer. I made a list last week so at least I know what's in there now...Gers, hope the antis start doing their job faster...Ruby, sounds like she had a lovely time, well done you.And stick to your guns re floor.....TA, going to have to steal your gammon/cauli cheese idea, I've never had it, and now I must try it...Good luck to your dgd! And your scarves being flimsy means you can do the Dance of the Seven Veils should you wish
)) camelot, no rush, don't go overdoing stuff...Coxy, have fun painting, mint green does sound a bit sudden on the eye...snoozer, maybe also a recliner chair downstairs for getting comfy? I know new ones are epxensive but one of my friends works for HSL and some of the newer design ones are quite smart, leather, German... [ but also very expensive...like very...] Honestly, if I had the cash, I'd probably get one for me
Allie, how went/go the craft fairs? Izzy, sounds like a normal day in a hospital to be honest, hope shes out soon! Take care all, I'm off to get petrol and ready the car....Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi11 -
Morning everyone Gers I’m pleased you had some sleep roll on your appointment Taff drag him to urgent care no ifs or buts Coxy I couldn’t help but think of a mint aero bar nice to eat but not so good look on the walls . TA one of my granddaughters is a gymnast she’s usually upside down or inside out I’m another who has no idea how she does it or where she gets it from. I’m afraid it goes from bad to worse with my friend she had her operation but her leg swelled so much she was in agony they had to take her down and cut the pot off they have x rayed her again and they have put one of the pins in the wrong place and damaged her tendon they still haven’t sorted her out with a foam sling for her arm she is in worse pain than when she fell down the stairs her daughter is going in today to see if they can sort something out . I’ve been flitting about all morning I feel as if I have been busy doing nothing I will have to get my act together it’s miserable and damp outside but slightly milder . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing11
