Upholstery Cleaner

Hi, I am looking for a upholstery cleaning machine to clean my sofas.

I don't  want a carpet cleaner but I have been looking at the Vax Spot Cleaners.  Does anyone know if these are any good for cleaning sofas etc? (the whole thing not just the odd stain)

Also, is the Vax better than Bex Bissell?

    Parent has a VAX spot cleaner. She uses it to clean a rug and I have borrowed it to freshen up upholstery so yes, it is okay for that. I did struggle to get some of the tools to work properly but that was probably just me. 
    Never used the Bissell so I can’t make any comparison.

    We bought a Bissel Spotclean Pro a while ago for an issue with our somewhat elderly and nervous cat. However it also did a great job on upholstery, cars, and for sucking up general spills like a wet-dry vac when needed. 

    You can often get them for around £100 when there is a promotion on.

    We didn't miss it when we didn't have on, but now it's invaluable!  :)
