No more threads needed for Smart cases.
Hopefully yes. I've submitted my defence now so will post back here with an update when I get one. Thanks for all your help everyone. I did try to read through all the info as best I could but there is an awful lot to read through and it said to make your own thread for your case and I'm very glad I did, otherwise I would've messed up paragraph 3 by the sounds of it! Thanks again for all your help!

Just follow the 8 steps in the defence template thread in announcements near the top of the forum by coupon mad from this point on, it's in the first post,  all these cases follow the same pattern

Yep. Job done for now. A few more bits of paper and a silly Mediation phone call, then when the hearing date comes through you'll get your Notice of Discontinuation in 2026.

  • I received an email last week from Bulk Litigation stating that "having reviewed the content of your defence, our client intends to proceed with the claim." It went on to say that in due course the Court will direct both parties to each file a directions questionnaire.

A law firm then tried to phone me a few times after receiving this email but didn't leave an answer phone message.

Has this happened to anyone else? Does this mean that the case will go to court? Or are they trying to scaremonger me into settling out of court?

Any further help would be much appreciated, thanks.

But that's all in the 8 steps you were following. You should re-read it so you know what to expect. No help is needed until approx 6 months time when you'll get a hearing date, then they'll discontinue anyway.

    Merry Xmas!
