Morning again - it's the first frosty morning of the season. Very chilly.I'll be going to my exercise class in a couple of hours, that'll warm me up! Nothing much happening. Lunch is chicken mayo (again) though I must make some soup soon.I hope that there's better news about various poorlies, it's a worrying time all round. Hugs to everyone who needs or wants one.11

Morning all and thanks for the start @Gers x
Looks like a bright but chilly day ahead. Laptop is charged and ready for my new role, just need to work out what to wear. It’s only in a home office but I don’t want to overheat (or freeze!).Dinner is sticky chicken with rice and tenderstem broccoli which I’m looking forward to.Delighted that the lounge is now fully painted and 80% back to normal. We need to get a new curtain cord for one window so will pick that up tomorrow hopefully.Hope little DGD is feeling brighter today @dp1 - such a rollercoaster for you all x

Morning all
Feels a lot colder here this morning no frost yet but it won’t be long I think.
Off to mums today to do a few hours I will straighten the kitchen and then she wants to go to a farm shop for a look around and get some vegetables.
It was like meals on wheels here yesterday I made a roast for mum and MIL and OH delivered them, they both enjoyed it and said it was delicious. I also made a batch (around 6 jars) of piccalilli ready for Christmas and a couple of jars of pickled red onion along with the cucumber pickles I made before, I shall put a jar of each into the in-laws hamper.
Dinner tonight will be the roast from yesterday, I just need to heat it through so that’s nice and easy.
Coxy good luck for your first day xx
DP1 hugs for little one xx
Have good days all and take care xx

Good morning, thanks for starting Gers
Chilly here but no frost, it looks like the suns peeping through.
Today's to do list includes booking my MOT, ringing the Vets to order BDs tablets, and make a start on washing down the paintwork in the hall, there's splashes on it where BD comes back in, no matter how much we wipe him. Dinner tonight will be chicken kievs, with chips for OH and a jacket potato for me, with coleslaw and salad bits. If I find time I'll make a cherry crumble to use up some of the fruit in the freezer.
Ruby, sending get well wishes to your FiL.
Dp1, hugs to your little one.
Have a good day all, take care.

Morning everyone
Chilly here too this morning. Yesterday afternoon was bright and sunny so I did some jobs done in the garden - moved plants in containers to a more sheltered spot, picked up lots of leaves and just a general tidy. By about 3.30 it was getting dull and chilly, so I was back inside for a cuppa and a read of my paper.
Thanks for all the hugs for little one, she didn't feel any better yesterday and still hasn't been able to eat anything. She had brightened up when DD said they could put the Christmas tree up ( in November!!) and helped decorate it. I've a bag of shopping to drop off before I go into work.
Hope everyone has a good day today.
Coxy enjoy your first day x7 -
Morning folks and thanks GERS for kicking off. Frost here too this morning brr. My thermal vest came out this morning but the thermal leggings are on hold for now. It's all blue sky and sunshine now but I don't think it's forecast to get any warmer. The S word has kept getting banded about for the end of the week. Aaargh we don't want that stuff so early.
Our council is getting festive! For the first time ever we have been getting Christmas decs adorned on the street lights up here! They haven't been lit up yet and I doubt they will resemble Blackpool Illuminations when they are, but they will cheer up the main road through the village.
I have been up since silly o'clock (nothing new there) and already the bed has been stripped and wm doing it's thing. The dw, which I cba emptying last night, has now been emptied and breakfast stuff gone in it. No fixed plans for the rest of the day but I have plenty of jobs to keep me going before I fall into slothdom after lunch.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for the poorlies, poorly loved ones and those on the mend. I hope today goes well COXY, and I hope IZZY enjoys her brief visit to Edinburgh. Hopefully DP1's little DGD is picking up now. Take care all, stay safe xx

Salmon taken out for tonight. The price of meat going up is something I've noticed too
Right time to see if Ldog wants a walk, I think he strained his leg yesterday, doing zoomies as my DB brought him 2 new toys.Get well wishes for the poorlies and hope you all have a good day.:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Morning All
Bright and sunny here although still very cold, there was a frost earlier when I got up (went back to bed for an hour!).
I had a busy day yesterday, tidied up a bit and hoovered round. DS1, his DP and their little one visited for a few hours which was lovely. The little one is such a sociable and happy wee thing, spent most of the time trying to get to the stairs and having a good laugh at us trying to catch her.
DD and family visited after - they took me along to the allotment where they dug up potatoes and had a general tidy up, the little one was so happy with her little rake and feeding worms to a very friendly robin. We had a joint effort at cooking when we got back and enjoyed dinner. They've been such a help whilst I've been laid up, will have to treat them to dinner out soon.
Hope your new job goes well Coxy.
Get well wishes to your little one dp1 and your FIL Ruby, sounds like you had a busy cooking day yesterday. I'm sure the relatives enjoyed their Sunday lunches.
Enjoy the class Gers, how was the Christmas sale?
Off to the shower for me then a rest before a good friend visiting this afternoon. Take care. XX

Thanks @Gers for today's start and good morning to all. It was a very chilly start to the morning but the sun is out now, the sky is a cloudless blue and it's going to be a dry day. Daytime temps might reach 3 deg, dropping to 0 deg overnight. Tomorrow is set to be cloudy but still dry, after that it's downhill all the way.
I had a lazy Sunday afternoon but did manage to wrap a few Xmas presents, not that there are many nowadays since most people receive cash. It's not quite the same but I'm afraid my days of trekking around shops looking for inspiration are over. I still have cards to write (again, not many) that I need stamps for. After that I started on a new cross stitch, alternating with a bit of knitting, reading and TV. A peaceful day until some lunatic decided on racing their car around the streets at around 11.30 pm for about 20 minutes.
This week I have some errands to run, all in different directions (of course
), and I'm trying to group them together to do today and tomorrow whilst it's dry out. Today it's the post office and print shop. I've already been outside for the gas meter reading and have dealt with the weekly junk mail, aka binned. And spent a few minutes watching the drain cleaner wagon unblocking the street drains. There's a rare sight for sore eyes!
For tea I'm having some of the chunky winter veg soup I made yesterday, a sandwich and a golden syrup sponge for afters.
@Coxy - Nearly there with the lounge decorating! A pain to do but so worthwhile when it's finished.
@Ruby - Well done on yesterday's marathon cooking session!
@remmie - Sorry to hear your second cataract procedure has had to be put back for a while, hopefully you won't have to wait too long.
Have a good day all, gentle hugs and get well soon wishes for our poorly ones, be it themselves or loved ones. Take care and stay safe. XBe kind to others and to yourself too.6
