Exciting time for DS and sounds like things are moving forward for your art. My DH is arty and is doing more since retiring but is his own worst critic and it stops him moving forward with it.DFW (08/08) £64,346.53 Gone (02/19)

Last week I trawled through my gift cards and where I thought I might have £120 - it was closer to £260 so that made this month a little easier. DD and my Mum have also given me £ for stuff I bought them to give me so that's also worked out well - as I was able to use my gift vouchers for some of them. I also managed to convert TCB into about £63 of vouchers to use at a carvery which should work out well for when I see DD.
I got to see DS which was lovely last Friday. I put him on my car insurance so he drove most of his way home - and we did an extra trip to see my mum on the way - and I still went via hers on the way back. I love talking to people while driving as it is ideal for autistics who hate eye contact. I left my house at 8.45am and got back 12.45am.
My BIL popped by at the weekend to get some stuff I'd brought up from DS. I need to go to DD's at the weekend and drop some stuff off for her. Then my home will feel less like a warehouse!! DS also gave me stuff but I don't know how much I'll keep. I need to drop some at charity for him too.
I made lots of sketchbook art at the weekend - my language centre had pretty much shut down - and I used stencils and collage to speak for me... I didn't have the energy for any of my more demanding works. I went to the portrait group on Monday as otherwise I was at risk of 'wallowing' after DS flew out on Sunday. I was really pleased with my last piece which I did in 10 mins.
I ended up off sick yesterday I was so exhausted!!
I'm nearly there on xmas gifts mainly because I'm hardly buying any. I will give some people money. I need to get my Mum something still and a sister but most of the rest is as done as it's going to be.
I have postponed my car works mentally to January payday - but will need around £250 for that... I rang the garage and they'd have struggled to fit me in before anyway.
Just crawling to pay day now - but I'm going to have to put a third lot of fuel in my car!! So as you can imagine it's not going great!!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Conference went well. Potential for future linked opportunities. Had to drive a lot though - and the weather was atrocious. I stopped for a carvery on my way home but was still exhausted.
Mum's Xmas present bought. My youngest niece seems the biggest challenge as what her mum suggested keeps going out of stock!!
Hope all is good with you. My house has deteriorated again so need to tackle that. In more positive news I fixed the dryer myself. Turned out there was a second filter I had been unaware of and once I cleaned that out it worked fine again. Huge relief.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Thanks Jwil.
Sorry to everyone whose diaries I'm neglecting. I'm just utterly exhausted currently - just maintaining my day job... Hopefully I'll feel better soon.
Well I found another giftcard - this has £44 on it which feels a real win.
I was given access to my Ex's bank account today despite having been divorced for 4 years. Turns out that they hadn't actioned the joint to sole account properly and I was still partly on it. 4 years last July - since we requested it!! They are giving me £85 in compensation but I have to ring in the morning to get them to sort it properly.
I've just been able to upgrade my broadband for a couple of weeks time - I did it via an agent in the app and got £7 a month off the list price which made me happy - and 36 times the speed!! That will ironically be £3 cheaper than I'm paying now. I also got offered an 80GB sim for £10 a month which I may do - I just need to check coverage - if I do that they would give me my broadband £2 a month cheaper - so £8 effectively for the sim.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
