I've been finding the recent heat very oppressive. Not helped by the fact the cat brought fleas in and I'm struggling to get rid of them. My house is getting cleaner and tidier day by day - but the pesky blighters don't seem to want to die - whether I spray them with an RIP spray or steam them with my new steam mop and handheld attachment.
Grateful its slightly cooler today.
I made myself go to the gym yesterday for a swim. I had intended to go again today but didn't quite make it. I made myself go to life drawing this week - and am hoping to go to a portrait group soon too. Trying to make myself socialise more. Going back to site 1 day a week has helped - but this week - I'm due there 2 days which is a pain!!
Hope all is well with you guys. I just can't keep up on diaries sorry - so am just dipping in and out.

I've been struggling with the heat too - makes me so much less 'functional'. I was wondering what was wrong with me - then the heat drops and I have woken up again. 😉
I also can't really tell from the numbers here whether there is anything to be concerned about, but would the back-pay, when it comes through, be useful to clear a CC? (It doesn't sound certain that it would come through in time to contribute to Oz costs.)
Well done for getting out to the life drawing session. 😊Hope the portrait session is stimulating.

Health spends sounds totally reasonable you cannot put a value on having a good quality of life. Ouch to that interest rate but good you can get it until you are 80. Interestingly its is very rare to pay your mortgage off here in Denmark as they still get tax relief on mortgage interest payments so most have one and use it regularly to purchase bigger item to avoid taking out a consumer loan. House prices are cheap outside of Copenhagen so you do not get massive increases like in the UK. Anyway sorry to side track your diary well done on all the numbers hope todays in the office is not too bad this week. Oh and well done on the swimming and in this heat!

interesting about mortgages in Denmark. I wonder if more people will go for lifetime mortgages here eventually - just musing out loud as it were.
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!1 -
Yup definitely interesting to hear about the mortgage situation in Denmark. It would help if the interest rates weren't so changeable too.

I think health spends are a totally reasonable thing, although it's never a bad idea to look at what else you're spending on.

Paid £250 extra off mortgage when I got my cashback from my health plan. Had chiro Friday - so can claim some more back now.
I paid the CC off that is running out of its 0% - so mainly use my 0% CC. But I need to clear that too - although I've got until next April I think.
My mortgage app was submitted. They are asking for physical docs which seems strange - challenged that - and asked if I can upload instead.
Went to a family gathering yesterday. Went okay - helped by some people not going so a more manageable number of people.
Still exhausted from my day job.
I still need to arrange for my tyre to be fixed so I can return my spare tyre to its home.
I'm still fighting cat fleas - I had had 3 days free and was quietly hopefully - but then got bitten again while feeding the cat (outside) - either from the cat itself or the door mat. Feel I can't win… I've even tried combing the cat outside - and it doesn't seem too bad - but won't stay still long enough for me to finish - and I don't want to directly hold it and get bitten more… This situation has been majorly getting me down,,, I will bin the outside doormat - and use a different one - that was in the house but is currently outside 'airing' and re-spray that and see if that helps. I'll buy new mats for indoors. I will move the cat water - and then respray inside downstairs just in case. Will also hoover the stairs…
Still debating what to do today - part of me wants to go and look for pebbles and driftwood (an hour or so away) - another part wants me to sort the house (a never-ending task). I am also considering going swimming. The cat woke me early - miaowing outside my window - I wasn't impressed.

Can you combine swimming and beach combing in one trip?
