I need help

I just dont know what to do anymore. Im over 20k in credit debt and cant afford to pay it back.
Ive been stupid and I know that. I have home equity which I kept telling myself would clear it, but thats going to be difficult.
Ive cancelled all my direct debits for credit cards and thought IVA was the way to go but now im thinking DMP may be more flexible.
Im just a bit lost
I have undiagnosed ADHD and poor mental health but im working full time.

Welcome, this is a good place to discuss your options and you seem to have made a good start by cancelling unaffordable DDs to the cards.

Could you post a Statement of Affairs here? With the lender names and expenses as accurate as you can, not what you hope to be able to cut back to next month. Here is the site that can generate the SOA, please post all the details including the totals https://www.stoozing.com/soa.php

Do you think that your mental health has affected you getting in to debt?  There is a mental health and debt form that your medical professional could complete for you (free of charge as per BMA regulations).  For some this has been enough to get creditors to be more willing to work with them to help them resolve their debt problems.

Some of the other letter templates there may be helpful for you too.

Forget using the equity in your home for now.
You really don’t want to be turning unsecured credit card debt into debt that is secured on your house.
As above fill in the SOA as best you can, And don’t worry if it’s not entirely right to start with. Most people aren’t.
The other question is really around how you’ve got into debt. it’s about overspending or gambling versus drastic change in circumstances and drop in income for example.
And that’s not about judging you - a lot of people here have ended up in debt for all  sorts of reasons, but it can help to plan the way forwards If you can get that sorted out in your own head.
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.
