They replied when I sent them a message off a work colleagues phone as they didn't know it was me. If they can prove we've signed and was aware of any 1 months notice then I will leave it at that. But the problem is they haven't proved nothing to me or even replied. Has far is I'm aware at the moment I can cancel imminently like the email shows. It's down to them to prove me wrong.Aylesbury_Duck said:
It doesn't, they may be working through to check all their payment collections are correct, much as you have been doing. Whether you can prove they're ignoring you isn't really important, anyway. What's important is the contractual terms and conditions and whether they've abided by them to justify taking the payments they have.khickey88 said:
It does when she actually says "still working" and Infront of her laptop. Sure she's read the emails and messages.Alderbank said:
I'm not sure that a story on Facebook proves anything about anything.khickey88 said:Thank you for the reply our bank is NatWest and when I looked into it it mentions 14 day period 1st before reporting it. Really didn't want it to go this far but I've just seen a Facebook story from the dance group showing them working in front of the laptops which confirms they are ignoring any of my contact.0 -
So my daughter's dance school decided to put the rises of the school up 50% from £26.50 to £40 a month. They also added some yearly reward thing so the 1st of October we paid £70, they use class manager subscription and have our card details so they sort of take the money. They cancelled one lesson in October and told they will also be cancelling the 1st lesson in November and sent a email to everyone saying "sorry and will refund everyone for these 2 lessons" ok fair enough Anyway we decided to leave and on the 27th of October emailed them and was told we had to give one months notice so we had to pay the 1st of November(£40) for Novembers lessons even though my daughter won't be going. (This is another story)
But now they are making us stay because they've already taken the payment and not replying to us then I just realised they hadn't refunded us for the 2 Missing lessons for October and November that they promised. They said the refund will take up to 10 business days and it's now been well over that. I've also found out they have refund the others in the class that are still there. So they are not replying to emails, messages and no answer to calls.
What rights have I got here? And am I wasting my time trying to get the 2 Missing lessons which total £24 also had £7.50 in credit in the account from May when they called another lesson. Was thinking contacting my bank and reporting November payment as unfulfilled subscription. I think is shocking how they treated us and not giving us the refund because we are leaving is bad.

Easier if you keep to the one thread rather than start a new one about the same problem: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6638668/unauthorized-payment-from-card/p14

As to November payment.
Same answer as other thread.
There is nothing different about this situation, compared to before. 🤷♀️Life in the slow lane0 -
It's not a new issue, it's clearly a development of your original story.khickey88 said:

Still have not received any reply to our emails or calls and no refund issued to us for the 2 cancelled lessons. We had a generic email from them though this week say they are closing the lessons for the group area we are from the end of November and will be refunding everyone the £30 yearly membership they taken on the 1st of October. I'm not holding my breath0
