It's been a strange week with all my complaints. The ABs have kicked in and my distressing symptoms are easing. I'm still a bit knocked for six and unusually frazzled.Today I'm off back down to Glasgow for the long-awaited MRI on my hips. It's in the late afternoon so I've arranged to stay with my friend Alan. Then, yesterday afternoon I received a call to tell me that the test on my bladder has been organised for Monday lunchtime. So, I'm staying down until then.
@DP1 - I really hope that your beloved little one is feeling even a bit better and back home. A wee gentle squeeze for her. And more robust ones to others. I've heard from Camelot, her op went well though she's staying in hospital for a couple of days. We're all in the winter wars!11 -
Morning GERS and all to follow. As you know I can sympathise and share your pain. I really hope you get sorted out quickly. Meanwhile keep taking the tablets!
Good to hear CAMELOT is ok after her op and has a speedy recovery. DP1 your poor little one, she lurches from one ailment to another but endures them all so bravely. I had never heard of her current problem but it sounds very painful. Here's to a quick recovery for her too. As well as all the other poorlies on here just now.
I had a very tiring shopping day yesterday with DD. Nothing new there! She picked me up at 8.15 am and I crawled back through the door 11 hours later at 7.20 pm! But we did manage a break for lunch to sustain us!. It was a profitable shop for both of us though. I got the new jumpers I wanted and quite a lot of stocking fillers too. The M & S outlet let me down this trip. There was nothing in their clothing section to tempt me but I did pick up a few smelly bits. But my biggest bargain was a tan leather Paul Costello bag for £27. RRP was about £150 but selling all the range off at silly prices with a further 20% off on top. DD got one too.
I was too weary to unpack everything last night so that job awaits me this morning. DS has been in the Lakes for a couple of days so the SS is not until tomorrow. Nothing I am stuck for so it doesn't matter when it is. I have youngest DGD coming this afternoon and then a sleepover as DD and her DP are going on the train to Leeds for a browse and then a restaurant I have never heard of for a wine tasting and supper evening and expect to be late back.
Have a lovely day folks if you can with ((HUGS)) for the growing list of poorlies on here. Take care all, stay safe x

Morning all and thanks for today's start @Gers. Thanks also for letting us know of Camelot's progress, I hope she'll be back home soon.
The sun's attempt to make an appearance yesterday was a dismal failure, instead we had mizzle/drizzle all day. Today started off in much the same vein but it looks as if it will be a dry and brighter day - I can see strips of blue sky appearing already.
No housework or cooking for me this weekend as I'll be staying with DS and his partner tonight and they'll be at mine tomorrow night. They're running down their freezer before they go on holiday to Brazil in 4 weeks' time so will be bringing something for Sunday dinner and DS is cooking too.
Depending on what time they pick me up, I may or may not do a couple of little pottering jobs while I wait.
@Gers - Glad to hear the ABs are kicking in, have a safe journey today and cheers to your good friend Alan for putting you up.
@TA - Wow, that was an epic shopping trip, I'm not sure I'd have had the stamina for that! Glad it was a success though.
@mehefin - Sorry to hear your car repair was an expensive one but thumbs up it's back on the road again. Have a good litter pick today.
Have a good weekend all, take care. Hugs where they're needed or wanted. XBe kind to others and to yourself too.8 -
Morning all
Its a bit grey here but not raining yet, I can’t put any washing on as the wm is still out of action so I might take some round to mums tomorrow to do.
The dentist fixed my tooth yesterday but said as it’s a wisdom tooth the filling might not last for long and if it comes out again the tooth might have to come out, but it’s ok for now so fingers crossed 🤞 it’s ok. I also went to the dr about my knee / toe she is doing a blood test in a couple of weeks for gout, if it’s not that then I will have to have an x ray to see what’s happening.
I am off shopping with dd today I want to try and get most of the Christmas stuff finished, we will have lunch out and then go to an outlet shopping centre for a look round and hopefully some bargains. OH is treating us to an Indian tonight so no cooking for me all day 😃
Not a lot of housework will be done today as we will be out most of the day, but I will do it tomorrow instead.
Im so glad Camelots op went well and hope for a quick recovery for her xx
DP 1 I hope little one starts to feel better soon poor little mite xx
Have good days all and take care xx

Morning everyone Snoozer how can Esben possibly be six when it was only five minutes ago you were on here telling us his unusual name happy birthday to him I’m flabbergasted. Camelot pleased your op went well he’s hoping for a quick recovery Gers pleased your ABs are kicking in hope you start to feel better soon what a poorly lot we have it’s the winter blues. TA well done on the bag I love a bargain when we went to pay for our funerals a few weeks ago there was a 300 pounds off if you paid before the end of October this I knew but hubby was traumatized when I went in and asked about it the kids were all just laughing they said only you could get a funeral out of the bargain bin . My friend has just dropped her dog off she is staying overnight I’m hoping there is no more fireworks she is absolutely terrified of them surely they can’t go on for much longer I thought nobody had any money . I’ve made a big pan of soup for through the week I seemed to have odds and sods of vegetables and somehow a lot of carrots I’ve made bolognese for tonight hubby is out playing golf we will probably have it when he lands back and a snack later on in the day then I will settle down to watch strictly. Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing8
