I am hopefully going into a DMP next month with CCCS I have found them VERY helpful and the relief of having somebody else sort this out for me is unimaginable. CCCS can explain to you all about CCJ and bailiffs. At the end of the day if you dont have the money the creditors cant have it!Debt free and plan on staying that way!!!!0

you will continue to get calls & letters for a while, everything should be sent to CCCS.
The only downside for me is not having full control of the debt0 -
Hi
We have been on a DMP with CCCS for over a year, and the calls soon stopped after our first few payments. It may not stop your creditors pursuing a CCJ and generally they like to see some kind of increase in payments after a time to stop calls letters etc. Some of our creditors have started to apply interest & charges again, but we have written asking them to freeze these to help us to clear the debt asap! I think the key point is keeping them informed.

Hi Mrs TD
We've been in a DMP with CCCS for around 18 months. There wasnt any choice for us - we had to go ahead because I lost my job.
Unfortunately, the letters etc dont stop - we had one on Christmas Eve
The CCCS have been great though, everyone there is fantastic.
I think the letters etc are worse for us because we can only pay a small amount, maybe life is easier for those who can pay a decent sum each month, I'm not sure.Is it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches :think:Loves being a Wonderbra friend :kisses3:

yeah I'm still getting calls from TSB (DMP 21 months) but then again I stopped answering the phone after a while coz nothing was getting through to them an I have only now told my creditors my new address.0

I think it also depends a lot on the individual creditors as we are currently waiting to hear if Nat West are going for a charging order against our property for what they say is a £5.5k overdraft debt. We still get the odd letter and phone call but the reassuring thing is knowing CCCS are at the end of the phone for support & advice when you need it!Debt at Sept 2006 £63,500:eek:
