Forgot the piccie! 🤦♀️
@Vanlady - it certainly is a bit sweet and savoury! 😁 I love hommous too - mine's never around long enough to freeze though! 😋😂 Your curry sounds lovely 😋 I need to make one next week now!! 😂 I've run out of sprouted wheat at the moment but will get some started again once the weather settles a bit (it could get warm again here next week) as my kitchen is very good at extremes of temperature 🙄
Haven't really cooked in the past couple of days - we've just been using up leftovers - I haven't really been hungry (headaches tend to throw me for a few days) so dh has been raiding what's available 😉
Tonight, we have some croquettes to use up (bought as one of those 'ooh, haven't seen those before, let's give them a go') which we are having with cumin and olive fried potatoes and salad 😋 - I will try to remember to do the piccie this time!
I'm going to have a good look at my inventory lists in the next couple of days and decide on food - I know that I want to do a fennel and 'feta' risotto (I have fennel in the freezer and half a pack of 'feta' in the fridge) and also a curry now 😂 but no idea what else 🤔

Oops- been absent for over a week as lots going on! 🤦♀️
The croquettes were disappointing- I won't be doing those again - but the cumin fried potatoes were lush! 😋
Last night we had cabbage, scarlett runner beans and rice - it's just comfort food in a bowl - utterly delicious and a really cheap and easy meal, it's one of our favourites 😁
Tonight we are having mushroom tofu, roasted peppers, garlic crushed potatoes and salad - I'm really going to try to remember to do a piccie as I've been fairly remiss with that lately! 🤦♀️

Are you finding any decent blueberries? If so where?? The latest batch the OH got from the market are both sour and without real flavour. Or maybe I spoilt my taste for cheap blueberries by getting some from the local organic farm - they were lovely but obviously very seasonal and so I'll have to wait til next summer for more.

@Brie - the blueberries in the piccie were the last of my homegrown ones, I bought some from the shop last week and, like you, will be waiting until next year before doing that again! 😉
Small change to last night's planned meal - we found a bit of broccoli in the one of the veg beds that was hidden by tomato plants! I do love bonus food! 🙌 We cleared out the greenhouse at the weekend and had a few cucumbers to use up (dh has stopped taking salads for lunch now) so I cut them up, sprinkled with dill and roasted them 😋

A 'use it up' dinner last night....I'd bought some sausages at the weekend for my grandbaby and had four left so sliced them and cooked them off with half an onion that was in the fridge, and some stock powder, added some smoked paprika, cumin and oregano, a dash of balsamic, tomato puree, fresh scarlett runner beans, half a tin of tomatoes and some water. Served with wholewheat pasta and my usual salad 😋

Hi LeftATTL, once again, your food looks scrumptious! Loving the colours!
I've been googling sprouted wheat , I'll be on the look out for it now. Though I must admit I keep a well stocked store of various seeds that I buy from the Asian supermarket, and add loads if them to my bread dough....and anything else that's laying around 😄.
I was time pressured today so bought some sm hummus, tasteless! I'll stick to making my own. Was given 4 beautiful lemons today so I feel a hummus bonanza coming on.

Thanks @Vanlady ! 😁 I sprout my own wheat, dehydrate it then grind into flour - I did look for sprouted wheat flour on line and from memory, it was ridiculously expensive! 😳 I'm always disappointed with shop-bought hommous, there's never enough garlic or lemon in it for me and I don't use oil in mine - I think the tahini is more than sufficient!
Food over the last week has been hit and miss - we've had several meals out (all of which have been mediocre at best 🤦♀️) due to events and I've not been in the mood to cook anything in particular on the days we ate at home! To be honest, I've felt so bloated and a bit nauseous from eating the UPF'S from the restaurants that I've done more grazing than anything else!
I did make a 'use it up' meal at the weekend though which was very nice despite having UPF's involved - I had a naan bread left, some cooked potatoes, a red pepper, a fifth of a pack of greek style cheese, a jar with a few pearl peppers and half a tin of chopped tomatoes in the fridge plus some kebab stuff which I didn't have room in the freezer for so I made a loaded flatbread with it all - I added a sliced onion and some chilli sauce but the rest was all leftovers 😁 It was extremely tasty and more than enough for dh and I to share!
Tonight, we're having butter beans cooked in stock, dill and thyme; my 4 grains with sunflower and hemp seeds plus barberries; an uchki kuri squash from the garden and steamed cabbage with tarragon. 😋

Dinner was soo tasty! 😋 it never ceases to amaze me how much I enjoy real food and how much more I appreciate it after a period of eating UPF'S! Dh has taken leftovers for lunch 😁

Ended up with an unexpected meal tonight - got out what I thought was a pasta sauce and it turned out to be cannellini beans in stock! 😂😁 I chopped and cooked a couple of potatoes in water for 10 minutes before adding them then added some green olives with lemon, some preserved lemons, an onion and the rind and juice of a fresh lemon. Served it with my usual salad of rocket, strawberries, black grapes and raspberries with a blood orange balsamic 😋 - the photo didn't come out unfortunately, too steamy!! 🙄🤦♀️😂

Hi LeftATTL.
I totally agree…I also crave for proper home cooked food after eating UPFs.
And loving your freezer surprise...you pimped it up nicely!
I had my hummus making bonanza using up 2 of the gifted lemons….the other 2 I halved and froze for future use. Altogether it made 5 portions for 2 people, 1 eaten on the day and 4 bunged into the freezer.
I'm going to brave and share a photo of said hummus …usual kind of lunch for us, includes some wedges of home made pittas.
