Claiming some tax allowanve fro wife who does not pay tax

I did claim this allowance but how can I check that it has been added to my £12,750.

    I presume you mean your wife applied for Marriage Allowance, giving you a tax reduction.

    If so your tax code would have suffix M, for example 1383M, S1383M or C1383M.

    It is trickier if you have a K code but you can always check how your tax code is made up on your Personal Tax Account.
