    Darntough or Bridgedale.

Neither are cheap, but Bridgedales can sometimes be found in TKMaxx with decent discounts.

If working in wet or damp condition Sealskinz.

Usually you are wearing work boots for long periods and quite often on cold surfaces.

I would always go for a two layer approach, thin inner layer of wool blend, minimum 55% wool and a outer layer of more traditional "worksock".
With two layer it is easier to keep your feet drier I find.

I prefer M&S for inner layer thin wool socks and TK Maxx for worksock type style.
It is also a good idea to have charcoal type insoles which you change twice a year.

Can seem like quite a expense, but if your feet are warm and dry it makes a big difference to your comfort, and wards off colds and chills in the winter that can cost you lost days off, which is more costly.
Play with the expectation of winning not the fear of failure.    S.Clarke

Try Screwfix direct. I have bought a few pairs from my Brother in law. Some of them are hard wearing. You can read the reviews on the website. They are quite cheap too.

Bridgedale is the brand Ive bought from Amazon, feet feel better, normal black socks my feet felt there was some room for my feet to move, thicker socks I don't have the feeling my feet have room to move.
