Morning GERS and all to follow. It's a bit foggy here but forecast to disappear, to leave us with a dry day and a bit of intermittent sunshine. Still mild.
I had a good day out with bus buddy yesterday and, once again, we had a dry day for our wandering round. A lovely lunch and obligatory bottle enjoyed, amid much chatting. We never run out of things to talk about. My only other spending was done on a supply of 8 hour tea lights. Skipton and the pub were fairly quiet so we assume that it is the end of the coach trip season for now.
I shall be out again most of tomorrow so today I must put my mind to a spot of cleaning as it won't get done tomorrow. I ordered some new cushion covers which had been delivered (and left!) on the doorstep when I got home so I will change those over first job. The old ones will hit the bin as they are not now charity shop quality. They have seen better days! A bit like me!
Have a good day all, with ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad or lonely. Take care all, be safe x

Yesterday was so mild - still damp though. Hung a load of towels out to ‘dry’ and they didn’t really despite the temperature and some breeze. It was a lovely morning for a walk by the river though followed by some window cleaning.I managed to do craft stuff all afternoon and got loads more done than expected.Haven’t slept well as too many ideas flitting in my head.More of the same today I think though I am getting my hair trimmed first thing which is very overdue and needed.Hope everyone has a good day

Morning all
Pouring with rain here and for most of the day I think, I am off to see Matt today and I think we are going on a train ride 😃 he is obsessed with trains so I think will enjoy it, he has been so settled since being on his new tablets although they do make him sleepy in the afternoon.
I broke a tooth last night eating popcorn luckily it’s a back one so you can’t see it but it’s left a sharp point so I need to phone the dentist today to get an appointment.
Dinner for OH and I will be the beef casserole from a few weeks ago we will have it with some bread and butter, dd is working a late so will eat at work.
Tomorrow I have to take little dog for her groom and while she is there I will get my tyre checked as I think it may have a slow puncture.
Have good days all and take care xx11 -
Morning allNothing exciting going on here today just the usual dust and hoover. My cold is still here. I think it might have gone to my sinuses although I haven't got any pain, just one minute I have a runny nose and the next I'm bunged up. I'll pop into the chemist to see what I can get. I've never had a 'cold' that has gone on so long.Hope everyone has a good day xx10

Morning everyone we have thick fog this morning I’m going to give the kitchen a good clean and the floor a good scrub again and I’m definitely going to sort my freezer out I’ve said that all week . Jacket potatoes tonight it makes it nice and easy for me to. It’s been very mild this week so I suppose I’m saving on heating. TA I’m another that can talk I never seem to run out of things to say to anybody it doesn’t matter where I go I can chat to people.AA you can come and clean my windows if you want want Ruby I’m pleased Matt seems a bit calmer enjoy the train ride and I hope you get a dentist appointment sorted soon . Chirsca I’ve heard of a lot of people that have had cold for a long time I had a banging bad head yesterday but I blame not getting enough fresh air it’s not very nice outside but I’m going to fit in a bit of a walk at some point. Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing8

Morning...well a much more sedate day happened yesterday. Today is another day of seeing people, this time a friend and we'll go to some second hand places, I'm still looking for something I can use as a larder cupboard type thing, and she wants to look at the new place I found. Then to OHs mums for dinner, and all the latest goss...OH video called me last night,, so I'm caught up on everything happeneing there. I made a good decision not to go I think...I have been writing down jobs I need to do, and various other things so I will start ticking my list off before long I think...I do miss him but I'm also looking forward to getting some stuff done if I can.Get well soon those with lurgy! I am orf to be proactive and stuff.....Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi9

Morning all and thanks for the start @Gers x
Another one here with a lingering cold. 2.5 weeks and counting. Looks to be another mild day. DH has just done an e-consult for an issue so we won’t be going far today just in case the GP needs to see him.I swept the patio, front step and bin paved area yesterday - 11 bags. Front step needs doing again this morning. Beginning to understand why the previous owners let the house ‘go’ a bit - probably too busy sweeping up leaves!Dinner is slow cooked pulled pork with brioche rolls and coleslaw. I’m trying out a yoga class this evening - will see if I like it.Have a good day all

Morning everyone, thanks Gers. It's a bit dull at the moment, I've not been out for a walk yet. I think DH and I are going to get a few food bits later. I've taken some gammon out for tea, from a joint I did a couple of weeks ago,and froze the surplus. I could do with another gammon and possibly a beef joint for the freezer. The fireworks locally were horrendously noisy last night, still going off well after 12. Luckily LDog wasn't too bad with the tv turned up a bit louder and a couple of calming treats. His previous owner messaged to ask how he managed- I think it was a bit quieter where she previously lived so I sent a photo of him asleep on the sofa & made her laugh
We had a slight disaster yesterday morning, a pipe came off the sink drainage, 2 cupboards had to be emptied so I took the chance to throw some stuff away. Lucky I noticed the little puddle outside the cupboard and investigated further. DH had to go out and get some new pipe etc. but was done and dusted before lunch.Hope the cat finds a decent home @-taff , well done you.Right better get moving, enjoy your day:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Morning everyone
It's forecast to be sunny here today...I have washing to go out on the line.
I sorted all the papers for my PIP assessment this morning, I'll be carrying my phone with me so I won't miss it and have arranged to go into work a bit later in case it takes ages.
I had a nice couple of hours with my friend yesterday and some lovely m and s cheesecake I'd bought us, reduced of course!
I forgot to say I got some really nice jeans from Amazon a couple of weeks ago...I can't remember who couldn't find any to fit. They are Gloria Vanderbilt jeans and almost fit perfectly, though I did have to take the bottoms up an inch, I used hemming tape.
Right I'll wish you all a good day and get the washing out x6 -
Good morning all and thanks @Gers for the start. The early morning mist has almost cleared now and we're promised a dry but mainly cloudy day and a light breeze. Still very mild for the time of year. Last night's fireworks went on until very late with one or two random ones in the early hours of the morning. I'd like to think that's it for another year but of course it won't be.

I did go out for a small top up shop yesterday when we had a sunny spell midday and I couldn't believe how warm it was outside, almost springlike. It's a long time since I've been out coat-less in November, normally I'd be muffled up to the eyeballs. The re-organisation of the store still isn't quite finished but at least the aisles were clear of stock, the problem was finding stuff in its new location. Can't say I'm impressed though, there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to the new layout. Anyway, I got what I went for plus two large RTC pouches of chocolate treats that I've squirrelled away for Xmas. The guest bedroom is almost done, just the clean bedding to put on. And I finished the cross stitch Xmas bookmarks last night. All in all, a good day.
Today I have some curtains to iron and the kitchen worktops could do with a "proper" clean - by that I mean move everything out of the way rather than just wiping around stuff!
For tea I'm doing a chicken casserole (a bung it all in one pot affair) and I think I have just enough suet left for dumplings too. Must add another box to my next shopping list.
@-taff - Love what you did to the Let It Snow song. Trust me, if I had an open coal fire instead of a radiator I'd probably still be sitting there!
@TA - What do you mean "seen better days"? We're like finely matured wines - well, that's what I tell myself!
@Ruby - Have a good day out with Matt. Shame about the broken tooth, hope you can get an emergency dental appointment.
@Rosy - Glad your DH managed to fix the pipe so quickly.
@dp1 - Good luck with your PIP assessment today.
Right, those curtains won't iron themselves so I'm off to tackle them now before I lose the will. Healing wishes for those with never-ending colds etc, take care and have a good day. XBe kind to others and to yourself too.6
