lawyers for constructive dismissal

Just spoken to ACAS and it seems I have a strong case for constructive dismissal against my employer.

Can anyone advise on law firms and what sort of costs might be involved?

You would need to speak to a solicitor to get an idea of the likely level of costs. it would be worth paying for an initial consultation to get an idea.
It may be a few thousand for a simple case that is settled early. It can run into 30 K plus for a complex case that is fought  all the way.

It can also be emotionally very stressful and is not something to take on lightly so if there are any no win no fee options out there,  read the terms and conditions very carefully to see what you might be liable for  if you drop the case before it reaches any sort of conclusion

All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

It would need to be as very few constructive dismissal cases that get as far as a tribunal hearing are won. A figure as low as 3% is often quoted. Obviously some more are settled beforehand. However it remains a very high bar to get over.

Also, costs are not often awarded at employment tribunals so unless yours is a case that is likely to attract a significant award there could be little or nothing left after you have paid your solicitor.

Whilst there are some headline grabbing awards the vast majority of ET cases that are won attract a payout well below £10K. You need a professional assessment of both the strength of your claim and it possible value.

Presumably you don't have legal expensive cover as part of your house insurance and are not a trades union member?

To give an extreme example, the Sandy Peggie case up in Scotland has so far cost the NHS for their legal representation £320,000.
There is no information available for her costs, which I suspect are being funded by people other than herself due to the issues, but giving this as an example that really there is no limit on upper costs.

Not allowed to give recommendations on this forum - and (for obvious reasons) beware anyone sending you a PM with their 'suggestion'.

Impossible to give any advice on costs, with the unhappy caveat that they will undoubtedly be more than you had hoped - with absolutely no guarantee of getting your costs paid by your ex-employer however strong your case turns out to be.
Googling on your question might have been both quicker and easier, if you're only after simple facts rather than opinions!
