ii accounts

May I ask whether ii offers separate accounts eg one account for S&S ISA and a separate account for S&S ?
I asked as ii tells me that they are all under one account. So if i transfer in a cash ISA to buy S&S ISA it will be in the same account, and I will need to keep track of it myself. Does that sound right?
It does not seem to make sense to me. For example, if I want to use my cash ISA to buy one fund and also use cash to buy the same fund. How would I track it then?

Yes: you will have two different account numbers and all your activity will be clearly differentiated between the two. Although separate, you will be easily able to view both accounts side by side under your profile (accessed via one username and one password), both online and on the app. You need have no concerns on this topic.20122013 said:May I ask whether ii offers separate accounts eg one account for S&S ISA and a separate account for S&S ?I asked as ii tells me that they are all under one account. That's not correct.
My ii portfolio has an ISA account and General Account and a SIPP account. All within the same relationship and all visible, but distinct, separate accountsRegards

ii have a General Investment Account (called a Trading Account) and an Stocks and Shares ISA.
Each account has a separate account number.
The ISA is tax sheltered.
The Trading account is not.
You can transfer between the two accounts, but if you transfer from your ISA into your trading account, you lose that part of your annual ISA subscription until it resets in the next tax year.
You can also have a SIPP, which has yet another individual account number.2 -
Thanks for clarifying.Section62 said:20122013 said:...I asked as ii tells me that they are all under one account....JamesRobinson48 is correct. But some people might call their user profile (/user login) an 'account' - so ii's "all under one account" should probably be read as "all under one profile".(TBH at first glance of your first sentence I wondered if you wanted separate logins for your S&S ISA and your S&S trading account.)
I want separate accounts numbers, ideally under one login or separate logins.0 -
You will get separate account numbers under the same login, and can toggle between them with literally one touch of your mouse/finger.20122013 said:

I want separate accounts numbers, ideally under one login or separate logins.
The options available to you (depending on price plan) would be.
S&S ISA
Trading account
SIPP2 -
And once logged in, you will get a page with an overview showing each account, and the amount in each.

In fact II are very transparent with the account numbers being listed on your home page, unlike some others that you really, really have to hunt around for (Freetrade is a golden example of this)1
