Hi MSErs in Edinburgh
I need to frame my daughter's paintings - some are not 'standard' size - and I've had a quote for £140.00 from the Print Shop on Clerk Street. Anyone know of good but not pricy framers? Thanks in advance, Karen.

Some years ago I used a shop called Angles at 259 Morningside Road (near the Post Office) to get a print framed as a Christmas present. Can't remember the details but know it was reasonable so might be worth a try for an estimate. I just googled it and if you quote "Charles White" you get 10% discount!

Hope this is of some help.
  • I need some framing done too, and was going to try the framers at the corner of Bruntisfield Pl and Leamington. They seem quite reasonable, but Angles is closer to me. (I hadn't known it was there!) If I have time I'll pay them a visit on Sat, and let you know.

I've used them many times, Its privately run by a lovely couple who have had the shop for many years. Really friendly company, definitely recommended.
  • Hi Rudi,
went into Angles today. Very helpful, and maybe the same people as maggiesoup mentions. The said they have a gallery/shop in town, woman in shop said the owner is her uncle.
I went ahead and got three pictures framed and was happy with the price - 10% discount this month. :D
Hope this helps, my wife was also impressed with the jewelry on offer and I liked the framed pictures for sale.

Angles is also in Corstorphine at St John's Road, and a full list of picture framers is here

  • Thought i might add in a recommendation.

theres a picture framer on the main road into town from the Forth Bridge.

really friendly family run business, been in business for 16 years and they frame everything to a conservation quality, protecting it for the future.

Sometimes they can be a bit busy, but its well worth the wait at the end of it.

  • I can certainly vouch for Blackhall Framing as I popped in there recently while in the area and they were very helpful and friendly and I'll be back when I find what it is I want framing.
