This month was a little less as we've maxed out our overpayment threshold for the year, woop!

We have roughly a year left of our 5 year fix and then we'll probably take a hit on a higher interest rate come next year. By then I really hope we're down at £250,000 when it comes time to remortgage. With one of us out of work for a large part of next year I think this goal is achievable.

We finished the bathroom, there are small leaks here and there but for the most part its complete 🤗

My in-laws have also moved and things seem to generally be falling into place now. With a few weeks of work left, I will take some time to prepare myself mentally and physically for the big changes ahead.

Will also inform the nursery to cut hours for our first born so that they only attend the 30 hours free childcare period while I'm on mat leave, that way we can save an extra £500 a month, money we definitely could utilise!

We welcomed our new addition to the family this month. We’re over the moon and delighted to have some family time together as a new family of 4.

With all expenses paid, we’re slowing down on our future expenses by eating / cooking at home, travelling less and just being mindful of our finances. Luckily, a lot of the baby stuff will be hand-me-downs and family gifts have been absolutely amazing and functional so haven’t had to buy much at all really. With me now out of work for a year I’ll have lots of time to catch up on cooking and general housework. Definitely a wind-down winter with lots of memories to build and holidays to look forward to.
