I would be inclined to also clear the Sainsburys card. And look at affordability complaints against MBNA, Halifax, Barclaycard and Sainsburys. Being able to clear the debts because you have sold the house does not mean they were affordable when given to you

Agreed, Very and Sainsbos need to go as priority.

What do the 0% cards revert to?
If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing

They go to 23% but not until 2028

Don't rush into paying anything off at the moment, there is no rush.
The thing is, I'm currently living with family until I can find a place to rent.  I can't apply for rental accomodation as my credit score is "poor" - it's only poor due to the level of dept (I haven't missed any payments).  If I clear most of the debt my credit score will improve to the point that I can apply for a house to rent.

I was able to rent with defaults on my credit record. I was honest with the Letting Agent (after viewing) and told them I had some farily new defaults. The LA owner said that said that wouldn't matter as the firm they used for crediti checks was only looking for CCJs and insolvency. I passed the credit checks. I also asked the LA I had used before, to write and email to comfirm that I had never paid my rent late.

I viewed an empty property and paid 6 months rent up front.  I asked the new LA to confirm in email that the landlord was not behind with his mortgage payments and that he had permission to let the property, which they did.

Just to clarify, EAs routinely check public record for CCJs and Insolvency. They can't check your credit records without your express consent and rarely do. They can and will ask for salary details, and you might be asked for bank statements.

Unlike mortgage applications, there are various ways to make sure the account into which you are paid does not demonstrate payments to creditors.

I suspect the next stage is to look into the impact of surgery and to plan financially for the time off work? Any idea when it's scheduled?

I have to confirm the surgery as its private.  I can't really schedule it in until I find a place. It will be done 4-6 weeks after I book it, and it has a similar recovery time.  After that I should be fully recovered (and can walk again!)
