Handing in Notice and Bonus payment

  • Just been in and handed in my notice and HR confirmed the Bonus will be paid....get in - so I just need to be on Novembers payroll to get it, which I will be :) Thanks for everyone's input.  HR confirmed there was no policy for the Value Chain Bonus - so I bet this situation will pre-empt them to write one for the future if it happens again.

So, what did you negotiate on the notice period?

That is to be agreed - my manager is not back until next week, where it will be discussed then, I have made it clear I do not want to work the three months, but hopefully two or two and a half is realistic.

A pragmatic solution would be up to whenever the company closes for Christmas and you start at the new place first day back in 2026.

I know written comments can always be misinterpreted, but the general tone of the input from the OP make me feel that the manager will be just as happy to see the back of the OP as the OP will be to get out.

You are indeed correct - just to let you know before she started I worked successfully for 5 years with no issues, all deadlines met, the accounts dept was in a mess before I joined, all the accounts are now filed on time - I feel forced out and entitled to the bonus and despite me coming across as negative all of my work is up to date, and I have no other issues with Head Office, any other people within the business, its just a clash of personalities.
