Underpaid tax

Hi, I'm probably due to pay some more tax for 2024/25.
PAYE income + pension reckon I  have underpaid by about £7
Interest on savings exceeds £1000 personal allowance and I reckon I need to pay another £60ish.
I have been into my tax account on HMRC/ gov.uk and message there saying I have paid all tax due for 2024/25, the year I am looking at.
Is the total due (about £70) not enough for HMRC to be bothered about or do I need to contact them to get a self assessment done?
Thanks

    Hi
HMRC are still working on tax calculations for 24/25 and once done usually the tax code is amended to recoup any underpayment.  There are options to pay and not have tax code amended.  They will contact you if you have an overpayment and due a refund.

If you have the box that says tax due paid then there is nothing further to do.

mine says "your tax has not yet been calculated"

you can double check your figures with the link below

  • Do you have the second message in your HMRC account?

    1.
Your tax has not yet been calculated.

There is no need to contact HMRC about this. You will receive a letter if you have paid too much or too little tax.

    2.
You paid the right amount of tax.

There is nothing more to pay for this year.
  • Hi saver73, thanks for your responses. I have the second message from your second post

HMRC usually don't issue calculations for very small amounts of underpaid tax.

Your £7 probably falls into that category.

You can ask for a calculation but you would then have to pay the £7 (assuming your figures is correct).
