I know most of the regulars on here are fully aware that life expectancy is much longer than most people think.

For an average person with no other information this is probably one of the best

Currently it gives an average of 85 for a 65 year old man with 1 in 4 surviving to 92. For a 65 year old woman the figures are 88 and 94 respectively. Most people under 65 can expect to live another 20 years or so.

I have also heard a rule of thumb of the mean age at death of your four grandparents + 5 years which supposedly allows for genetics plus health improvements. In my case I get 84.3, so basically the same. Obviously this is as subject to unknown variables as the one above and is probably messier and I suspect less accurate.

A lot of us will have come across the QRisk calculator which gives a risk of a heart attack (not necessarily fatal ) in the next 10 years based on lipids, BMI, blood pressure etc.

However, as a cancer survivor who is also on blood thinners I am currently looking at enhanced annuities, this is partly as I think I might beat the odds. I’m assuming to calculate the enhancement actuaries have tables but are there UK based online calculators based on these.

Does anyone know of UK calculators that take advantage of information about serious illnesses, perhaps family history and health record stuff like cholesterol, blood pressure and medication. The closest I can get is putting health into the money helper annuity calculator which in my case gives me about £750 a year more than not putting conditions in, single life, 3% growth.
