Has anyone had their PAYE tax calculation for 2024/2025?

My 2023/2024 tax calculation appeared in my personal tax account online on 20 January 2025.

I am aware that they appear to have a permanent backlog but was wondering if there was any chance of mine being completed this year. Their message online says June to October but I guess this is rather optimistic.

Income Tax for 6 April 2024 to 5 April 2025 will be calculated over the coming months, usually between June and October. Your Income Tax will be updated when that happens.

  • I haven't (sorry - not very helpful) but I've noticed the PAYE Summary for 2025/26 shows estimated untaxed savings interest which adds up to the total for 2023/24 and 2024/25 (matches my spreadsheet exactly) whereas previously it just showed the interest from 2023/24 as my expected interest in 2025/26. So I'm hoping that means they're getting close.

(I'm also hoping this is just a glitch and they're not going to tax me on two years worth of interest as if it was in one year!)

    Thanks for the reply @SevenUpPear8

Just out of interest, where do you see your PAYE Summary for 2025/2026?

@RG2015 when logging in to the personal tax account, there's a box for 'Paye As You Earn (PAYE)' to the left of the '6 April 2024 to 5 April 2025' box. Once in, click 'Check current tax year'.

At least this is what I see; it might look different to others, especially if not PAYE workers.

    @SevenUpPear8 Thanks again.

I have clicked on "Check current tax year" but nowhere here does it specifically state estimated untaxed interest.

I can though navigate to "Your detailed PAYE Income Tax estimate"  where is shows "Your total income from savings this tax year is estimated at £xxxx.

This does show my untaxed interest which was an estimate I gave them in January 2925. Unfortunately they have used the figure I gave them for 2025/2026 as their estimate for 2024/2025.

Did you use the link @SevenUpPear8 provided?

That took me to a version of my tax account I hadn't seen before and there was information about untaxed interest in a couple of different places.

From my records it looks like the figures are currently a mix of estimates carried forward from 2023/24 and actual amounts from 2024/25.  Which I'm hoping is simply because not all the updates for 2024/25 have been dealt with yet 🤞

I have now managed to get in on the link @SevenUpPear8 provided..

It has information that has not been there before. This includes a figure for untaxed interest (for the current year) that I do not recognise.

It is way above my current estimate but less than two years added together, as mentioned on the original post.

I also notice that it is on https://account.hmrc.gov.uk/paye/iabd/# instead of

My wife got hers for 24/5 today - it was correct for untaxed savings interest AND dividends paid - and miracle of miracles - the tax refund due agrees with my calculations. HOWEVER......
They encourage you to apply for rebate by online bank transfer - great - except that the system won't accept either of our joint accounts for payment - they don't match their records -  I have no idea how they have a current bank account listed for her unless its an old one we have switched from with Santander - now locked out for 24 hours.
Found a long tortuous way to apply for a cheque rebate that has gone thru altho several supposed routes ended up with the same online payment page that we were locked out of !!!

I suppose it may be due to the fact that my name appears first on the joint account name ? But if so, others must have the same issue.
