Very late posting and lost track slightly towards the end of November.
I've gone back my statements are appear to be:£401.27/£360 for November
January Grocery Challenge £240.55/£400
2025 Grocery Challenges Average - 104.36% spend vs Budget4 -
Have only spent £136 on food so far this month and probably about £50 more to go on bits and bobs. Not too bad. I am away for 4 nights with my mum/ at family Xmas celebration but I’m quite pleased. Will see what it is at the end of the month and then maybe try and shave another £10 off next month.Credit card 1891

Last November spend yesterday on eggs, sausages and honey in the market brought the monthly total to £55, and leaves £144 in the annual budget to cover up until 7th January. I'll give some to my son towards the cost of Christmas dinner.
Grocery challenge 2025: £1503/1500 annual budget
Grocery challenge 2026: £46/15004 -
Spent £28.80 yesterday a large amount of which was on reduced meat. I got 12 large chicken breasts, a free range whole chicken, some belly port strips and two salmon pieces. This isn't doing anything for my mission to empty the freezer, but does save money. Also got some bits for lunches over the weekend. I need to make a menu plan for next week and will have to get some veg and milk but hopefully that's all.
£62.09/£300 so far this month.6 -
Completed November with
£456.14/£500
Now off to find the December thread! Thanks so much Jings for organising and everyone who’s posted this month, it keeps me motivated 🙂

25.14 @ Ald!
2.74 @the Co-Op

Off to get onions, chia seeds and yoghurt today.
Trying to stick to just that.
Have three days left until I'm officially in the December challenge.
Hoping after today, I don't need anything else!

£3.19 at Aldi! and £22.96 I forgot about at Home B@rgains online, but I will split this into 4. It's for 48 bamboo toilet rolls, but they are in boxes of 12, so I can fudge the numbers a bit. So each box works out at £5.74. Absolute bargain, as my normal ones are 300 sheets a roll and these are 370 a roll. I'm hoping they are available for a while, so I can keep costs down.
£176.58. So just under a fiver under budget. I need to find the receipt from the onion and Yog spend, as I bought some Christmas bits too, just so they don't run out. So might be realistically bang on total or slightly over.
This has been a more realistic month with daughter now working local, and not staying out as much like she was when she was still job searching. So, she's eating more meals at home, and taking some to work.GC 2026 Jan 13th - Feb 12th = £61.37/180 (includes food, toiletries and cleaning from 13th to 12th of each month. Two person vegan household, with occasional visitors)Join me on the meal plan thread : https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6356309/could-we-start-a-meal-plan-thread-again-so-its-not-lost-in-the-gc/p1Forever learning the art of frugality1 -
