I didn’t have school age kids and next to no childcare I’d enter for some holidays. What’s the best holiday anyone has won?

As someone who doesn't have children, I always think the family holiday comps look good! Do you enter those?
To answer your Q - I've never won a full on holiday, but I have won two city breaks which were fun! One to Barcelona and one to Amsterdam.0 -
I have been very lucky!
In May 2007 after having to cancel a family holiday to Spain because my daughter came down with Chickenpox on the day we were flying, I remember seeing a competition for a family holiday to Australia and I said to myself "If I can't go on holiday, I will win one!"
I entered and forgot all about it, until I got a call about a month later to say I was the lucky winner!
The prize was for 4 flights with Quantas and 10 nights in Sydney and Hunter Valley, with trips including a Zoo, surfing, bike hire, climbing the Sydney Harbour Bridge and tickets to see the Wiggles!
We went for Christmas 2007 and spent Christmas Day with my cousin who had emigrated there a few years earlier.
Then just 2 years later in 2009 after showing a friend my Australia photo album and saying I would never be so lucky again, I literally got home that evening to receive a phone call from ITV (Alan Titchmarsh Show) to say I had won a 7 night family holiday to Florida - flights, 7 nights at Hard Rock Hotel and Universal tickets! I kid you not!
To top it all, my husband had been pricing a holiday up just that morning!
We extended the holiday to 2 weeks and added 7 days extra staying at Disney.
Didn't win anything quite significant for years until 2023 where I won a 7 night holiday to Ibiza on Instagram.
I hardly enter now as it all seems to have gone very quiet.
Off to enter some more holidays now!

Not nearly as impressive as Australia but I won 2 flights to Stockholm in about 2006. We were skint after getting married so that got us a holiday! (We had friends living in Stockholm.)2

is can only go in school holidays and hard to get those off at work1 -
I won a trip to Singapore (12 years ago now!) with which was before kids. Last year I won a family holiday to Madeira with Jet2. I still enter the holiday competitions for two adults in the hope that I’d be able to pay extra to take the kids with us!

I won a city break to Barcelona back in 2010 or so. Nice accommodation and fancy tickets to a Barcelona football match at the Camp Nou which was amazing. Also won a city break within the UK last year and chose Bath. It was only one night at a nice hotel so we paid to extend it for another, and had spa access, Michelin starred meal, etc. It was great!
Would love to win one with the kids now, as they always seem to miss out on any wins I get, so yep, Jet2 is the main go-to for those comps (but I'll enter any!). Good luck all.3 -
I won a trip to the Galapagos Islands back in 2010
My son was in his early teens and his school allowed me to take him out of school for 4 days (the trip spanned half term) as it was classed as an educational trip.
He absolutely loved it and so did I !!Best win ever: Trip to the Galapagos Islands in 20107 -
I've won a few holidays over the years, all of which have been great. The first was in 1988, back in the days when you went around supermarkets picking up competition leaflets, keeping till receipts, thinking up slogans, and sending in proof of purchase. Had a cupboard full of tins with no labels on them, wife was pressuring (strongly) to stop this nonsense, when I won a skiing trip for a week to Villars, Switzerland. This improved her viewpoint and despite her being 20 months pregnant (or looked it at least) with our first child, we went and had a fantastic week.
Others include a Hoar Cross Spa break, Haunted Hotel stay, World Cup trip to France, the Barcelona Olympics, Theatre trip to London, Famous Grouse Experience stay in Knock Castle Hotel, another ski trip week to Les Menuires, France (could not go on this but the promoters said our two children could take our places, no problem). Also the London Paralympics, two nights in Dundee, camping at the No 6 Festival in Portmeirion, a week on the Amalfi Coast in Italy,
However I think the best one was a holiday in Monte Carlo, Monaco in the Fairmont Hotel. That was for two nights and when looking at the flights the airline only flew every 4th day from the local airport. Offered to pay for a night ourselves in Nice but the promoter said No Problem, we'll give you an extra night in the Fairmont (in a room which apparently cost 700 Euros per night!). Had a brilliant time, chauffeured from the airport and spending money included.
Keep entering and eventually you may win something which you could only dream of paying for yourself, or had not even considered but gives an experience you will never forget. BTW, although that list seems to imply I win holidays all the time, note the first one was 1988 and I've been doing this hobby for pretty much 40 years.4
