ATM's Peru

I'm going to Peru next month. Plan to use my Barclaycard rewards credit card for cash withdrawals.
Trying to research which atm's don't charge fees.
So far it looks like Banco de la Nacion (multired) don't have fees, BCP maybe, Scotiabank is fee free for Global ATM alliance members which i believe Barclays is?

Barclays is a member but according to wikipedia they dont get fee free from Scotiabank in Peru, only Canada.

Personally would ask in the relevant part of Tripadvisor.

My experience in LatAm has been these things can be fairly regional and the low/no cost option in one city isnt necessarily the same in the next.

Hi, my son lives in Peru and I asked him about this yesterday evening. No bank offers free cash withdrawals using an overseas card. Scotiabank have a fixed fee of 25 soles if withdrawing soles but more if USD. He banks with Scotiabank and withdrawals are only free with their card.
He also thought that withdrawals using an overseas card could be restricted.
He also has an HSBC bank card and has to pay the  fee.

    Thank you for that.
I think most of the atm's have a 400 Soles limit and thats equivalent to about £90!

That's not correct from my experience this year. As per OP, Banco de la Nacion (multired)  don't charge any ATM fees but are limited to 400 soles per withdrawal. But that's for debit cards, obviously credit cards might be different and also will charge their own cash advance fees. I used my Halifax Clarity card to pay restaurants etc and Virgin Money debit card for ATMs.
Also found that physical cards were regularly declined by the bank/merchant service but using the same card on Google Pay worked fine. Bank said they weren't the ones declining it.

Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.

Yes, from what i have read Banco de la Nacion is fee free, but not sure about withdrawals using credit card.
I will also have Nationwide Flexplus (using that for travel insurance) and Santander Edge cards with me if for some reason Barclaycard fails, you never know.
Barclaycard rewards credit card won't have any cash advance fees or interest as long as i pay statement balance.
    Thanks
