I'm trying to check for used car history, trying to check the car's past services & owners. Trying to get service history records is such a tiring work. Is there any easy way to check for it and in a budget friendly way for Volkswagen models?

Quite likely, when it was new it was serviced at a main dealer who kept electronic records.

I bought a 2014 skoda last year with zero history and no service book

My local dealer was happy to search the records and email me the results, free of charge, even though it had been serviced 300 miles away. I bought a blank service book from another garage and stuck the printout in the inside front cover. I then got a written list from the previous owner owner and stuck it in the inside back cover. 

I recently sold it on with that service book having one stamp and the two attachments. The new owner never even looked at it.

So there was no need for vehicle history check and the dealer gathered the service records, were these genuine?

I’m actually trying to find the service history for a VW golf GT, came across a site CarAnalytics providing  VW service history records pulled straight from VW OEM main dealers. Might save me a few phone calls!
Might cost a few pounds but can get all the history we need about the car instantly. saves time and have some security since those records are from trusted sources.
