SA - previous employer had me as employed after redudency...

Hi! Hoping someone can help with how to complete this on my self assessment form. I was made redundent in December 23 (received P45), with a final payment in March 24 and P11D received July 24. All of this information went into my 23/24 tax return so any tax from this employment has been dealt with.
Going to do my 24/25 return and it seems my previous employer had me on PAYE until 5th April 2025 (so 24/25 tax year) but with a salary & tax of £0. HMRC have automatically included this employment when setting up my online SA form, my question is do I leave it on the form or delete this employment? It won't make a difference in terms of paying tax, but I'm unsure on the correct way to complete the form as I wasn't employed by them.
Thanks!!

I doubt it's your employer showing this, more likely its HMRC's last record of a PAYE payer on your behalf, especially if you have not been employed since your redundancy.
In my case, my last PAYE employer terminating in 2017/18 (a short 6 month temporary contract), sat in HMRC records via their app, with zero annual income until the state pension came on stream last year when it then disappeared. I ignored it throughout those years.
As for my self assement annual tax return, I use third party software so simply deleted that employer in the following tax year of employment termination, when the software automatically rolled the employer details forward.1 -
I have had this. It is just the hmrc SA software including previous employers by default. Provided that the income from this employer is zero it isn’t an issue.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards.
