Have a claim for a credit card debt, best next steps?

I'm re-posting this with additional info
I have received a claim form via Civil National Business Centre
its from a solicitors representing Lloyds, for a credit card debt of c£3000
I haven't made any payments for around 2.5 years when I allowed the debt to slip towards default, as advised here as it happens. I haven't made a payment since the last regular monthly payment when I held and used the card..i.e no payments since default...
I would very grateful to understand what my options are, and how to respond, I presume I just admit the debt?
if this results in a CCJ are there options then to arrange a payment arrangement or do I just wait for the baillifs?
there are other debts, similar, now all in default and mostly not currently chasing...I have taken advice on how to bundle up and manage but I need to address HMRC debt first which is under negotation

Have you previously had a letter Before Action/Claim from the solicitors?
How large is the HMRC debt now?
How large are the other debts?
Nearly two years ago you said "I am realistically confident my income will increase steadily over the next few years" has that happened?0 -
Follow the instruction in the claim pack on how to acknowledge service.
Decide whether to defend or admit the claim, and act on that decision.
This will now result in a CCJ, you have let the process get too far without engaging for any other outcome, so make certain you fill in the income/expenditure form inc in the claim pack, and that will determine the monthly payment the court will set.
They are unlikely to waste further money on a bailiff visit, if you can`t afford to pay anything, make certain your budget shows that.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. Presumably I can't defend the claim on any grounds?0 -

Its too late now to do a CCA request, as time is ticking, just make sure to respond in time and fill in all appropriate forms.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards.
