Mortgage lender asking for 2.5 years of HMRC payments
Bit of advice if any brokers around or anyone with any experience if this. Il try and keep it brief.
Partner and I both buying together. Hes in the process of being bought out and my house is sold. For various reasons, but mostly because this will be classes as a 2nd property for my partner, we now have 24k stamp duty instead of 6k so our broker advised a 95% mortgage which would mean we have the cash to cover deposit snd stamp duty. His buy out has been delayed 4 months, hence how we got to this stage. We were originally on an 85% DIP when we realised things were dragging on and we are due to complete end Nov.
My question is, we are both employed, im a nurse and we supplied all the docs and bank statements to broker. The lender has come back and asked for 2.5 years worth of my HMRC Gov Gateway evidence of salary showing every payment and the tax breakdowns.
Does anyone have any experience of this ? Or know why they would need it?
Thank you
Edit - I provided the HMRC documents within an hr of them asking. Im not disputing them asking for it, im just wondering if anyone else has any experience of this.

They might have done a sort of income verification check which has caused some concerns possibly.
Nothing to worry about, it sounds like there is an explanation for why they are querying it and why it should be ok.
Tricky to know for sure, but (and I know it is easy for me to say this) I would not be too worried at this stage from what you have said.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
