Where / How to find out Tax Year State Pension payments?

I knew I read it somewhere …. https://archive.ph/BShDumolerat said:The max state pension is £398.55. I can't see anyone getting close to £1K as that would involve being entitled to the max pension and deferring for maybe 15+ years !
There we’re 8 people with a state pension over £1,000 per week.

Yes I ran this calculation over in another thread. Since 13x4 weeks = 364 days, you are sure to have a minimum of 13 payments in any 365 or 366 days. A more complicated calculation allowing for leap years showed that exactly 5 times in a 112-year period you will actually get a 14th payment in a year (whether calendar or tax year). This is because 112 years incl 28 leap years = 1461 x 28 days. And 1461 = 112x13 + 5, hence the result. You should find that they're every 28 days, so get a bit earlier every month (except 3 in 4 Februarys). Eventually you'll have one in the first couple of days of the month, and another at the end of the same month.
This is probably why HMRC count the state pension is 52 weeks' worth, not what you actually got, as otherwise every year they would have 4.5 percent of the pensioners (with no other income) getting 14 payments in a tax year, going over the personal allowance, getting taxed, and writing a furious letter to the Daily Fail. So, you are actually not taxed on 1.25 days worth of pension per year on average... that's worth about £7 p.a. to a basic-rate taxpayer.1
