Children Services SGO Assessment

Children services want to put a section 20 on my 4 Gran Kids and asked me am I willing to take the 2 older kids 7 & 5 with 2 year old twins going in to temporary foster care. The 2 older kids stay with me most weekends and 3-4 days at times during school holidays.
Yesterday I had an SGO assessment for emergency foster care for them but for some reason they said I failed it and put the 2 older kids in to foster care. Currently the twins are with a family member pending foster care.

The normal social worker did say even thou I did fail that assessment ( wouldn’t give me a reason why) All is not lost and I will need to do further assessments.
I am really not clued up on child law etc
Can this decision be appealed or can I find out the reason why, guess being Friday hasn’t helped.
I did try to ring the worker who did the SGO but her phone was just switched off and it was the normal social worker who ran my son to tell him. Nobody even contacted myself to explain anything

The social worker should have shared the viability assessment with you and explained the reasons why you were not suitable to care for your grandchildren. Did they give you the reasons?Mama read so much about the dangers of drinking alcohol and eating chocolate that she immediately gave up reading.0
