Recommend travel to London from Nottingham

Looking to travelling to London for three nights in November travelling Sunday 23rd coming back Wednesday 26th . We are looking at options of train, coach or car and driving so far down leaving car in a secure car park and going the rest of the way on the train/ tube . Any recommendations greatly received for train websites to get the best ticket deals or coach deals or car parking recommendations

    For trains:
    - I use the National Rail journey planner - they link through to the relevant train companies to buy the tickets for the selected journey (I think East Midlands Railway for Nottingham to London) with no fees on top
    - Personally I prefer to get an off peak or super off peak return rather than advance tickets - usually still a saving over a peak ticket but gives more flexibility than an advance. Standard peak or off peak returns I think are generally the same price bought online or at the station

For coaches I’ve only used National Express and no experience of going to/from Nottingham. Apart from advising against driving into central London I don’t have much to add on that option (except that if it were me I’d probably get the train the whole way).

Nottingham to London on EMR to St Pancras is a good and fast service, I  used it a couple of times this year. Depending on timing a super off peak ticket will be adequate - any time at weekends, after 11 am or so arrival in London during  the week. Check whether there are any engineering works on the days you travel especially if weekend.

There are however engineering closures on the East Coast line on the Sunday which may put more demand on EMR services, so cheaper tickets may be sold out.
