Alex Biggart from 123 Flowers told The Sun: "To get the most out of your flowers when they arrive, always start by placing them in a bright spot with indirect sunlight, such as near a window with filtered light or a lightly shaded area, to prevent petals from wilting too quickly. 

"Choose a suitable vase or container that allows the stems to stand upright and gives them enough water.

"Water your flowers every two to three days, ensuring the stems aren’t sitting in stagnant water, and refresh the water regularly.

"Trim any leaves that fall below the waterline and cut a small portion off the stems every few days to help them absorb water more effectively. 

"Bouquets last longest when they’re cared for consistently."
