Sainsbury Nectar Rewards Points 'scam'. Points not received. Check, check & check again.

If you value your Nectar rewards points always check they have added them to your account. Firstly, if you do not receive a Nectar confirmation email immediately after shopping with one of their partners (using the partner links on the Nectar website) then rest assured you will never receive the points. You will need to contact Nectar & over possibly hours of proving your honesty & supplying all manner of transaction proof they might look into the matter. For example, MoonPig & JustEat are but two of the affected links. I have been banging on at Nectar for years to repair the technical issue but they do not. This morning I find that I am missing 4000 points for a Sainsbury car insurance renewal & this despite having received a confirmation email & it's Sainsburys, not even a partner retailer! Another hour proving I'm honest & supplying proof of the transaction via various screen shots & trawling through past emails. I still have to wait for the points though while the matter is escalated. Exhausting.

Do you clear cookies before starting the transaction?Jubudz said:If you value your Nectar rewards points always check they have added them to your account. As not doing so, & you have been to that site previously, that purchase is not tracked...
Same with all other companies such as Quidco etc.Life in the slow lane0 -
Hi. It's nothing to do with clearing cookies because the likes of Deliveroo, Ebay for instance work fine in as much that the Nectar confirmation emails are receceived & points are subsequently awarded. With reference to the missing 4000 Sainsbury car insurance Nectar points-their error as I expected because they looked into the matter & 2 weeks later the said points appeared in my Nectar account along with an email confirming the issue was at their end. So, to conclude do not assume you will automatically get your Nectar points under any circumstances. If you do not receive a Nectar confirmation email of your transaction then you will certainly never receive them & you will need to use the Nectar online chat facility to sort it out. Even if you do receive Nectar confirmation emails then it's worth keeping tabs on the points due.0
