The limitation period in Scotland is 5 years, after which the debt becomes "prescribed" and cannot be chased under Scottish law.
Does the debt show on your credit file still, it should do, what default date is showing?

Someone came to my door yesterday from verify. I wasn't in but my son was and answered the door. They asked if I lived here, he said yes and they handed him a letter, as he doesn't obviously know anything about this, so took it.0

Verify are simply a tracing company engaged to get you to re-initiate contact with the creditor, nothing more than that, they don`t want your money, I`m betting the letter contained contact details for Lantern, am I correct?
