OS help please.....

Hi

I have been lurking around OS boards for a while and have decided I'm going to give it a really good go! I've got a DD 19 months and have always wanted to be the type of mum that bakes and sews etc. We also have debt that I want to get rid, we don't have much extra money to throw at it so if I can start saving on living costs then I can clear the debt quicker!

Anyway, sorry if I'm rambling a bit! I've rescued my breadmaker from the deepest depths of th garage but I think I put the instructions away somewhere safe:rolleyes: and now I can't remenber where that place is! Can anyone advise on how to work a Haden breadmaker?

I also found a slow cooker in the garage, think my aunt brought it for me a couple of years ago and it got dumped, it was way before I saw the light!!!!!

Just one more question, promise!

I've got loads of parsnips, carrots and a couple of leeks in the fridge, any ideas on what i good do with them? Will need to be able to freeze it.

Thankyou for reading:D

Hi Mappy - welcome to OS

Have a search on google for your make and model of breadmaker, if you can't find the instructions you might be able to find an email address to ask for some.

As for your veg, bung it all in the slowcooker with a stock cube/water and any other bits of veg you've got about the place - maybe a couple of potatoes, tin of toms etc and make yourself a soup - can be frozen down in portions.

    Hope that helps

chuck them in that recued slow cooker with some stock, salt and pepper and yummy yummy soup and if someone else can help you with the breadmaker instruction, guess what you will be able to have for dinner tonight ...

Thankyou so much for the quick replies, have just checked cupboards, I only have beef stock, is that ok to use or is it best with veg stock? I know its a dumb question but I'm a complete beginner in the kitchen!
