Student loan income calculation

so is your annual salary for SL payments on plan 2 (£28470) including state pension + private pension or should you add savings interest to this?

In this thread from a couple of years ago, it seemed as though you should be completing a Self Assessment tax return:

If you are under Self Assessment and your unearned income exceeds £2k, then (as I understand it) it will count towards your income for SL repayment purposes.

But you are not required to submit a self-assessment for this. It is only if you are required to submit one for something else that the unearned income threshold for student loans is triggered.

If you look at the previous thread, OP at that time had other taxable income that would have required SA.
