Morning, it's dry here but chilly.
Sorry to hear you're not well Gers.
Glad work is going ok Camelot.
Hope your new client settles down with you Ruby, though it sounds as if you won't have him for long.
We've been busy for the last couple of days so I didn't get to post. We met up with the Australian visitors on Wenesday afternoon, and yesterday morning. It's my Australian dil's brother, wife and family. Great to see them, we talked, walked about a lot, went for meals, it was really nice. They've moved on now though. It was lovely to see them.
Dgd is going to be staying for the weekend so I'll make the bed up and move the ironing pile out of the bedroom.
That's about it - hope everyone has as good a day as they can. Take care folks.

Good morning Scarlet, thanks for starting us.
Cloudy out but it looks as though the sun is breaking through.
I also haven't been on for a couple of days. I've been busy getting everything sorted before my cataract surgery tomorrow. Yesterday I did a big shop to keep us going for a while. Honestly, anyone would think I'm having major surgery and will be laid up for a while. But its kept me busy and stopped me thinking too much about it.
So, today will be a freezer sort out, food to go in from yesterdays shop. Tea tonight will be burgers in brioche rolls, nice and easy.
Have a good day all, take care.13 -
Think @Scarlet and I cross posted again!Cold in full spate, had to fit my shower in between nose blowing. Now I've got a washing load on but have to go out before it finishes. I'll come back from my first chore to hang it out before heading up to the small town.I've been faffing around booking stuff for next year. My nephew pointed me to another show we'd both like to see, not in Belfast this time, so he's booked tickets and I've booked my hotel which is opposite his house. I don't like to stay with them as the mornings will be busy with everyone wanting in the bathroom. All sorted out.I haven't really caught up with posts, I read them but the information hasn't been retained.
I hope that all are well or at least not getting any worse. Hugs all round (from an even bigger virtual distance).

Morning All
Bright and sunny this morning, bedding on the line and another load just finishing. Should dry well today despite the lack of wind.
There's a gas engineer here at the moment, I have an intermittent fault that means I can't get any heating or hot water until I reset it all. Hopefully he can find the problem and get it fixed.
Long weekend for me, it's very much needed for a bit of a rest and catching up on household jobs. I cleaned out the greenhouse yesterday and put all the old tomato plants, etc in bags ready to go to the tip. May meet up with DD and the little one today for a walk in the big country park - just the weather for it.
Our fun day was really good yesterday, the ice cream van was a big hit with adults and children alike, perfect for the last day before a little holiday.
Glad you enjoyed your catch up with relatives Scarlet.
Your new lad sounds quite challenging Ruby.
Fingers crossed for a quick procedure tomorrow remmie.
Feel better soon Gers, that good fresh air will work wonders!
Happy Friday. Take care. XX9 -
Morning folks and thanks SCARLET for starting us off. Another lovely day ahead according to forecast.
I got home from the caravan yesterday evening with a mountain of washing plus bags and boxes of other stuff to overwinter here. I was too tired to tackle any of it last night so that was just dumped and has been started on this morning and the washer is now on doing the first (of many!) loads. DD and I took forever to get back home with numerous stops along the way for browsing, dining, more browsing and a little bit of spending and finally some shopping to tide me over until the SS on Sunday.
I shall miss waking up to the beautiful pastoral scene we look out on, with the rare breeds leisurely grazing. Numerous photos taken, as usual, to keep me going until the Spring. What I haven't missed are the stairs here which get steeper by the day. But I did miss the dw as I seemed to be forever washing up!
No plans for today other than still finding homes for everything and more washing. No rush for some of it of course, the bedding and towels. They won't be needed for a while so may languish in the laundry basket until the rest has been done.
Have a good day folks if you can, with ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad or lonely. REMMIE I'll be thinking of you tomorrow and know just how you will be feeling! GERS I hope your cold soon moves on. Take care all and stay safe. x ps YL did you enjoy All Creatures? I bet you ended up with a soggy tissue like me! x

Morning everyone
We've had some lovely days here this week with bright sunshine, lots of outside play at nursery and I've got some tidying done in the back garden.
I went over to my friends after work yesterday for a cuppa and a chat...the world is now put right!
I'll go down to mam and dads this morning to do his banking and I had a message yesterday to book mams Covid and flu jabs, so I'll do that.
Little one will be here for a sleepover when they get home from her play therapy session, it will be her last one next week.
I hope all goes well for you tomorrow Remmie.
Hope everyone has a good day x6 -
morning all,
very cold start to the day today; the children were not impressed that it was so cold inside the car!
Todays plans are to tie up a few loose ends for current job (<1hr)
plan the big restock shop and perhaps try to do it before the afternoon school run
clear down the kitchen ready for the new flooring to be fit tomorrow
1 load of washing
start making the chore lists we want to put up in the house so everyone starts to share some of the load before I start my new job after half term!
hope everyone has a good day************************************

Morning all
Slightly overcast and cold here this morning, wm is nearly finished but will have to go on the airer today.
Dogs to be walked next and then a quick tidy before a lazy afternoon, dd is off today so we may watch a film later.
I had a really good day with new lad yesterday we went on the bus to the next town and had a hot chocolate, we then had fish and chips overlooking the pond and he wanted to go in a model shop where he bought himself two car kits to make, we then got back on the bus, he was fine the whole time we were out, within minutes of getting home he had kicked off again throwing things and screaming and slamming doors, I am coming to the conclusion that it’s mum that sets him off, he wants her attention all of the time and although she is brilliant with him he wants more! They are off to the IOW today to look at a house for him so fingers crossed it works out.
Dinner tonight will be carbonara with a tomato salad and garlic bread I will see if we have any GF bread to make some for OH.
Gers I hope you feel better soon xx
Remmie good luck for tomorrow xx
Have good days all and take care xx9
