I believe the council are responsible for the listed building status. What makes you think you have input into these decisions?0

I’d asked maybe 7 years ago if cottage would need special windows as close to listed building whilst I was asking planning about something different and was told no as it wasn’t in the local towns conservation area, and not visible from public road.
Didn’t keep a note of date or woman’s name I spoke to, so I don’t have a record, so I’m understandably annoyed as they’ve since changed the goal posts.0 -
