Is there a purchase necessary competitions section anywhere on the forum?
If not is that something worth doing?

It is against MSE rules to post purchase necessary competitions.
The site is meant to be for free to enter comps. The only exception is on the Post, Phone and Text forum where you have to pay for a stamp, a phone call or a text to enter and there is a strict limit, currently £2.10 to enter these, and some also have a "free" method.
