Newday passed to Wescott

Hi all, looking for some advise please. I've left my debts until they are starting to default and have had my first call/text from Westcott saying they have taken over for Newday. I can't see any defaults registered yet on Trans Union and have had nothing from Newday. Is now the time to contact them and set up a payment arrangement? Also had a letter back from Zopa not accepting my affordability complaint so I currently waiting for trans Union credit report to send off to the ombudsman. They are looking like the next ones to issue a default. Thanks in advance. Feeling sick now its getting close 🤢

Wescott don`t buy debts, they only manage them on behalf of their clients, so that debt won`t have defaulted yet unfortunately.
They will run through their standard letters with you, then return it to Newday if you don`t engage.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. Thanks Sourcrates, I did think that may be the case, so I just continue to ignore? Thanks for your help.0

Just continue to ignore until you actually get a default letter, not just a letter threatening a default. If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0

Will do, thanks.0
