Hi, bought one of these 2 months ago and registered myself as an adult. I want to book to go to London with myself, my partner and child. I've been advised by them, I cannot add a second adult and should have done it at the time. This is hugely frustrating, can anyone shed some light? Now I have found out they are based in USA, so I will ring them but wondering if anyone had any luck?

That's not how I understand it works, the person(s) named on the card has to be travelling with the parties who are travelling with the discount but those parties can be up to 3 additional adults (+ kids) who don't need to be named on the card.
By not putting a second adult on the card at the time of issue just means that adult #2 can't use the card without you also travelling.

Why do you think that Railcard is based in the US? Some of the tech behind the website might be US-based (most websites are) but it's owned by the Association of Train Operating Companies Ltd (ATOC) who are a UK company registered in England.0

Ar, this makes more sense. I somehow had it in my head, it was max 2 Adults. Ok, so long as I travel, then it's fine? I've booked a trip to London, with myself, my child and my Partner who is not named on card, looks like this is ok. And the only thing I'm missing out, is if he wants to take her by himself?flaneurs_lobster said:That's not how I understand it works, the person(s) named on the card has to be travelling with the parties who are travelling with the discount but those parties can be up to 3 additional adults (+ kids) who don't need to be named on the card.

Ar, the helpline was not UK and alluded to US residents!flaneurs_lobster said:Why do you think that Railcard is based in the US?
