So what support would you need to get up speed, or do you think it’s just not possible for you? Because presumably other people are meeting that target, but we all have different skills and we are not all suited to all jobs.
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.1 -
They don't have to give you a valid reason, they could tell you on Monday that you're the best new starter they've ever seen, and on Tuesday let you go.
Same as you could walk in on Tuesday and tell them that is your last day.

For what it's worth, most employers don't want to do that as recruiting new people is very expensive.
We've had to let people go during their induction for various reasons. For example one person was commuting 80 miles every day, and was late literally every day, disrupting the group. So we had to tell him either he comes in on time, or he will be let go. Next day he was late, and that was the end.
But the reality is that no reason is formally needed from either party to end the contract (though a good employer will usually want to maintain their reputation, and not treat people badly).2 -

And on that note, I am out of this conversation, as it is futile.0 -
Nobody can say if 35 seconds to process a package is unrealistic if we don't know what it involves.
As you've only worked a little over 40 hours in a period of over one month maybe you just never got sufficiently proficient to meet the required speed.
Time to look for a new job.0 -
Walking out just plays into their hands and could be construed as proving any concerns they have about you.
Probably need to start looking for another job (again)
You could possibly be looking at a UC sanction as well since you may have effectively resigned for no reason0 -
@Altior “ they could tell you on Monday that you're the best new starter they've ever seen, and on Tuesday let you go.. From painful personal experience I know. I suspect this is the reason why millions are now dropping out of the job market, from various age groups. I always worked, but increasingly I do not blame them. How can anyone build any security in their life, when treated like this!
It took me almost a year to get this job, after hundreds of applications - to be rejected, and ignored again, and again
Many employers often could not even have the decency, after I put on my suit, paid money for transport and actually acknowledge I had attended interview with a plain YES or NO.
In the most ridiculous incident the manager meant to interview me, did not even turn up (major supermarket.) I then phoned up and asked for feedback with regards to the no show of the interviewer - and predictably despite a promise, go no response.
And the utter farce is that employers that I always turned up to interview for - bleated “half the people did not turn up for interview today.” No wonder!
