Good morning, it seems to have stopped raining, for now anyway. It hammered down all day yesterday.
The garden is in a terrible state, what a mess! Dead leaves that have blown in, weeds, plants that need cutting back, it'll get done though.
I nipped to Morries yesterday, needed a few essentials. Then it was house stuff. Nothing planned for today though.
Hope the holidaymakers are having a good time. Thoughts to the poorly people, take care folks.

Morning Scarlet and all who follow. We had torrential rain all day too- made football watching very damp. I have 3 outdoor coats hung up to dry, but the sun is shining this morning. Our area was still in a drought zone and now we had flood warnings last night. I had my wellies on at tea time when I took Lendog on the park - he loved splashing around I'll take him out again shortly, although he's still snoozingI think I'm going to take a few slices of roast beef out of the freezer for later. DS bought a cheesecake yesterday so that's for pud. Nothing else specifically planned for today. Hope you all have a good day, I've not caught up with yesterdays thread so hope all is well.:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Morning folks and thanks Scarlet.
The rain hammered down here too yesterday. The clattering on the caravan roof was deafening. A different day today. A glorious start but blimey it was cold first thing. A shock to the system and I had to put the heating on.
I survived my first night with not a giant spider to be seen. Fingers crossed for the rest of my stay.
Have a good day folks and ((HUGS)) for all in need. Take care all xx

Morning all. I've just checked the weather forecast and it's going to be dry for the next few days!!
DH and I had a good trip down to London yesterday. Bought a few things but he was unsure about some shoes he tried on so will try a larger size once they come back in stock. We were back in time to watch the Ladies Rugby and have set up the Final to record next Saturday, as I'm out that day.
Today is pottering; have taken out some lamb to cook for a late lunch and will see how things go. DD was a fence marshall at a fairly local cross country event yesterday; said she had to cover 5 fences as they were short of volunteers and one of her fences seemed to be one that was a problem for a lot of the horses and some of them got eliminated. She had entered to ride in the event originally but her horse is currently lame.
Have a good Sunday everyone and hugs to the poodles.11

            Morning all
Bright and sunny here but chilly, I have some washing in the wm which should dry well today.
I sorted out my wardrobes yesterday got rid of a bag for the CS and vacuum packed the summer bits so it’s much more organised now and I can see what I’ve got to wear I have even put all of my t shirts in colour order but I’m not sure how long that will last, Today I want to sort out a couple of drawers in the kitchen which won’t take too long.I went to get a leg of lamb the other day and was shocked at the price £39 😳 needless to say I didn’t buy one I got two breast of lamb instead which will do us today and tomorrow, I will do mum a dinner for today as well, I got some GF stuffing too which OH loves, I can take or leave it but I will do yorkshires too.
Not much more on the cards today might have a bit of a slothful Sunday before starting back to work next week.
I hope that those who are away are having a good time xx
Have good days all and take care xx11

            Morning All
Glorious morning, the sun is shining and it's quite warm out after a very cold start. I got loads of washing nearly dried yesterday and my bedding is out this morning. I had a few summer dresses that are ready to pack away so am giving them a wash before they go in the box. I feel quite sad about it but it's too cold to wear them now.
After my slothful start yesterday I was busy, cleaned the bathrooms, did loads of washing, took down the hanging baskets and washed the downstairs windows. I think I wore myself out and had a nanna nap and an afternoon of sloth!
Goodness, that lamb's expensive Ruby, glad I don't like it!
Enjoy your evening out with your Mum Coxy.
Hope the weather is being kind to the holidaymakers.
I have 9 folk for sunday lunch today so have been shopping - DS2 and DP have my car so had to lug it all up the hill in my wally trolley, I was slightly out of puff!
Have a lovely Sunday, take care. XX9

Morning all and thanks for today's start @Scarlet. After a thoroughly miserable day of non-stop rain yesterday, this morning the sun is shining with a cloudless blue sky and virtually no breeze but it's much, much cooler, especially at night. Most of the leaves on the cherry blossom tree at the back of my house are now sporting their autumn colours and quite a few have dropped already. On the upside, it looks as if we're in for a dry spell this coming week.
I haven't posted for the last couple of days, mainly because I didn't have anything to say! Nor is today any different really but I thought I'd make up the numbers. It being Sunday, I won't be doing much but want to make a start on the two cross stitch kits I'm doing for you-know-when - bookmarks, one each for DS and his DP. Before that I'll do an online grocery order for Tuesday, nothing for the freezer though as I'm still in use it up mode. I've extracted two beef kebabs for today's dinner and yesterday used up the last container of h/m soup so space is appearing - slowly! My latest monthly energy bill dropped into my Inbox yesterday, slightly up on the summer months due to having the heating on a bit now, but less than the same period last year and with a decent credit balance to use over winter. I hope our holidaymakers are having a good time and haven't been washed away; healing wishes for the poorly ones and hugs for anyone needing one. Take care all, enjoy the rest of the weekend. XBe kind to others and to yourself too.8

Apologies for my tardiness, if i don't post before I get up then I tend to get engrossed or waylaid and forget!
Had a lovely weaving workshop yesterday - my little mat was smaller than everyone elses I think I was twisting the fleece more than them. But it's still lovely just don't know what i'll do with it - I can get half my bum on it
Just throwing things in the van as off to Cornwall tomorrow so that's the rest of the afternoon sorted.
 Take care all

            Hello everyone
Late one from me as I had little ones' lovely company on Friday and Saturday night. We're caught up on her school gossip now...who said what, who she played with on the field, music club and lovely school lunches. Then she explained Pop Art to me while we were still in bed this morning and Andy Warhol...'Do you know who that is granny? I think he might be from when you were young!'
She loved the arty thing we went to yesterday and also our visit to the library. The rain and wind started when we got home so we had a very lazy afternoon doing two puzzle balls I got from a charity shop earlier in the week....followed by reading all the library books. I paid 50p for the Disney princess puzzle which, when I looked was £15 at Amazon...then we found there was a Frozen puzzle in the box as well. An excellent bargain!
I don't know how she slept last night as the rain was torrential and right on her bedroom window, though she must have changed beds at some point as she woke up in mine.
This morning she helped me build a nest of tables that had been delivered from Amazon...I let her use the electric screwdriver, which thrilled her. Unfortunately the correct sized screws weren't there so I'll have to buy some. I complained through the customer chat and got a refund on the tables.
We went down to mam and dads this morning and then after lunch I did the weeds between the paving stones at the front of the house while she played on her bike. She had a tumble and scraped her chin, knee and elbow but got back on after a cuddle and some Savlon. DD picked her up about 2pm and I've spent most of the afternoon reading in the sunshine in the summer house, Also had a nice chat with eldest DD who was lying on a beach in Bulgaria,
Right, best get washed up then I'm going to have a nice bath.
Hope everyone who is on holiday is having a good time x9
